  1. Thanks for the extra info. We'll bring this up to our editorial team and see how they want to approach the New Yorker.
  2. With the software closed, open up a Windows File Explorer window and browse to your documents/human computing/comicbase databases folder - locate the db you're using and rename it (ex: Database 1). Once you finish renaming it, double-click on the renamed db itself so you force it to load into the software under the new name. Repeat this process with the other computer and its db but of course give the db different name (ex: Database 2).
  3. our current approach going forward with adding in new magazines into the database can be found here: We used this format with recently added magazine titles like Time Magazine and Life (Time) which use a multiple volume issue scheme We're not too familiar with The New Yorker and how they handles their issues. Any online resources out there that archive past issues where we can investigate further?
  4. In the software, go the File Menu>Open - load in a different db. NOTE: Be very careful that whenever you post or deduct items for sale that you load in the correct db. Failing to do so may cause you to have discrepancies with what you offer online for sale on AA; you wanna avoid cancelling sales and issuing refunds which can hurt your seller rating. A good way to avoid any trouble is to launch ComicBase, go the internet menu>check sales and purchases (to deduct any AA sales). Follow that with going back into the internet menu>sell to post you db in its revised state back to AA (so you don't accidentally sell something no longer instock). Do this for each db you decide to sell with on AA.
  5. got the trouble to replicate on my end. I'll report it to the programming team to look further into it.
  6. i set my ComicBase Preference settings to match what Steve noted, what do i do next to replicate the problem?
  7. 2 ways to find the desired database: -Go to the File Menu>Open - browse for the desired db if you know where its located. OR -File Menu>File Tools>ComicBase Database Manager - this will list all the databases on your computer and give you instock number for each found; you'll probably want to go with the largest number to load into the software.
  8. can you screenshot your ComicBase Preferences Window? would like to see exactly how that's setup for you.
  9. the title Marvel Collector's Edition: X-Men is where you tracked some Pizza Hut issues in the past. Not sure if the comic in question falls into this series or should be its own title instead. Any indicia (fine credits page) inside this that states the official title name? It has a comic strip and pinups?
  10. i'm not able to replicate the trouble on my end unless you have specific steps for me to try.
  11. Hey Rob, if you haven't already... use Slack for this kind of question. Pete is more likely to answer it.
  12. currently in our Master DB, we only have #5, #5-A, #6, and #6-A; no B covers for these issues. They may be unique to your db particularly if you have a qty in stock that locks them in and prevents them from being removed (to match our Master db when you download a weekly content update). If something needs removing, its best to email us at support@comicbase.com and our editorial team will look into it further.
  13. Hey Lawrence, these magazine you're adding in, are they already in the database where you simply adding in your quantities OR are you creating them from scratch?
  14. in the ComicBase Preference menu (under the Setup menu), is your Standard cost set to something other than Zero?
  15. Are you still having trouble at this point? How long has it been since you tried to use the Save to Cloud? If you have any Internet Security software running, it may be blocking Sidekick. You may have to set up program exception for it.
  16. got some clarification from our programming team... go with title, issue number, custom field AND condition. See if that works.
  17. TPB/A would be my suggestion. Use the notes field to indicate its a facsimile and include the year it was published.
  18. don't select the quantity field when you do the export/import. Title, issue number, and custom field should be all you need.
  19. You'll probably have to reinstall CB2017, load in your original database and export out that data. Import that info into your current database afterwards. *You may want to make a safety copy of your database(s) before you start.
  20. you'll want to cancel the 2nd order from your Recent Activity page as soon as possible to get the buyer refunded: https://atomicavenue.com/atomic/MyAccount.aspx Whenever you make a sale, it's important you launch ComicBase, go to the internet menu>Check sales and purchases - to deduct recent sales from your database. After you do this, wouldn't hurt to recheck the item(s) you sold is no longer instock in your database. Once that's done, repush your comics for sale to AA so your selling inventory is current.
  21. looks like we'll need to shift #2-4 over the the Scout Comics published title
  22. Being able to see those checkboxes that seem to be cutoff on your end will allow you to make visible CGC grading into your current grading list. *Not everyone uses CGC grading, that's why they aren't there by default.
  23. thanks for the info...we'll shift them over for the next content update.
