  1. comic book title: A.D.: After Death Trying to add a media file named Bk 1-HC.pdf when this error pops up. If I rename the file as 1.pdf it has no problem being added to the same title. I also have no problems adding a new cover image named Bk 1-HC.jpg. Please advise. Thanks, Sam
  2. Just an update. The ComicBase Cover Gallery screen saver is still broken (same exception) in the new build 2587. If you click "Preview" in the Screen Saver Settings, you can see the error popup immediately without waiting.
  3. After installing ComicBase 2023 4K Archive Edition v23.2.0 (Build 2535), I get the following error whenever the screen saver attempts to start. I've attached the exception text you can see if you click on Details. Please advise. Thanks, Sam ComicBase 2023 4K Archive Edition 23.2.0.2535 screensaver exception text.txt
  4. Been getting some odd errors lately. Usually occurs when I leave my computer for a while and see this onscreen when I come back. When I click on Details here's a copy of the text (see attached). Running latest version (build 2209). Please advise. ComicBase 2023 Sidekick - Details.txt
  5. I'm a big fan of identification (barcode) labels for organization. Would love to see cover artist added to the label, in addition to the existing writer (script) and artist (art) credits. Especially in this era of variant covers where the cover artwork is not done by the same creator as the interior art. Thanks for your consideration.
  6. Yes. I just downloaded the latest ComicBase (2206) and tried again. No change. Long titles still truncated/missing issue number as reported above with v23.1.0.2181
  7. Probably the best tip I've gotten from watching one of Pete's livestreams... printing identification labels (barcode labels) for each of my comics. I've slowly been going through my entire collection and adding them to the back of the board so I can tell what comic I'm looking at no matter which direction it's facing. When it works, it works well... like so: Unfortunately, if the issue title is too long for the label it gets truncated, and then the issue number disappears! The "human" organizer has no clue which issue is which and likes to see printed issue numbers on the labels for quick and easy identification... even if the title of the book is truncated. I'm using Avery 5161 labels. My two cents... I can envision two possible solutions for the comicbase programmers that be... (Pete?) give the issue number it's own protected field somewhere on the label, so even if the issue title is too long and gets truncated, there will always be a dedicated space for the issue number (similar to the issue grade in the bottom right corner). automatically resize the font so the entire issue title plus issue number always fits in the available space Please advise. Thanks, Sam ohmu id labels.pdf
  8. When I submit data to ComicBase 2023, I get a progress bar while the data from each issue I submitted is being uploaded to the server. After that is complete, I get a pop-up that says "Thanks..." ' Then, if my comic cover scans are newer or larger, it asks me if I want to send those too. I click Yes. Then... nothing No progress bar displaying the status of the uploads. No indication which scan or scans it is attempting to upload. No confirmation pop-up saying thanks, saying that the sending of the scans was successful, saying that they will be reviewed. I don't even know if it did anything at all! I don't know if it tried, if it failed, if it was successful. Nothing. If I resubmit the same issue data, deja vu... it repeats the same steps all over again... progress bar during upload of issue data, "Thanks..." when issue data is complete, followed by asking "You also have scans...." and then... nothing. Please consider adding positive confirmation during the cover scan submission process so that we can be assured our data is being submitted timely and successfully. We want to contribute 🙂 Thanks, Sam
  9. Thanks Steven. There's a lot of hourlong live streams to review (100+) for the short explanation 🙂 Does anyone know why? If it's working as designed, I guess I'll submit this on the feature request forum.

  11. Please advise. Optimizing the database does not help.
  12. Same error on another computer. Both computers running 64-bit Windows 11 No software blocking I'm aware of. If there's something you've seen that I can check for, please let me know and I'll be happy to report back. Please advise. Thanks, Sam
