  1. I raised this issue last year.  Pete successfully diagnosed the problem last December.  I have diligently upgraded CB, but this has still not been fixed.  I am surprised since it sounded easy to fix it.  Can you tell me when the following will be fixed?

    Issue:

After completing a content update, I print a Collection Report (Report --> Collection Report) to a .pdf.  However, starting with the v20.0 version of CB, the printed report "Price" amounts were not reflecting the new selling values.  Pete reviewed the issue with me and determined that "When running a Collection Report, the 'Price' column was not being recalculated."  Evidently, the "Price" column is really the "Extended Price" which is "Quantity" * "Price".  So, if you run a Collection Statistics report after an update, you see that the "Price" values were updated as expected.  However, when you run the Collection Report, CB fails to update the "Quantity" * "Price" values prior to printing the report.

The only way to force that recalculation of the "Extended Price" to occur: after updating CB, you have to run File --> File Tools --> Rebuild Lists (checking the 'Item Information' box).  This is a pain in the rear when you have to do this EVERY week.  I have asked repeatedly via email and phone calls over the last eleven months when this will be fixed.  I have asked Mark.  I have asked Pete.

So, one more time: when will this be fixed?

    Thank you, Joel

If you highlight the line the issue is on, and then right-click, you are offered a menu option to Request Price Check.

Also, to add the cover date, type it into the field, highlight the line for that issue, then right-click and click on Submit New or Corrected Data.

I would do that, but I get an error saying my FW blocked it, but I haven't been able to get around that.  Disabling my PC's FW didn't help.

  3. In this series, DC takes over the publishing from Gold Key with issue #46.  In the dB, all the issues from Gold Key and DC are mixed into one Title.

    Korak, Son of Tarzan

My question for the community, should the DC titles be split out or left as is?  It's not really a new series so calling the DC comics a 2nd Series or Vol 2 doesn't make sense.

But, shouldn't they be separated since they switched publishers?

  4. The Mini-Series was 4 issues, numbered 0 to 3.  The #0 issue is included in the Sonic the Hedgehog title run.  It needs to be moved to the Sonic the Hedgehog (Mini-Series).

The Mini-Series ran from Feb 1993 (#0) to May 1993 (#3).  The regular series began with #1 in July 1993.

  5. As best as I can tell, they represent different versions for a given year.  They might be variants, but I do not know if the internal content is the same or different.  Overstreet mentions notes on a year like "Three Different Versions", but gives one description for the year and a single price for all issues from that year.  That implies they are variants.  But, I only have one issue from 1968 so cannot say.

  6. I tried, but my Registrations page gave the the Archive version of the SW.  I only have the Express license.

Waiting for the next update and will try again.

However, I have been asking for this for a while now.  Not too hopeful that v2874 fixes it either.

  7. I looked over the #196801 issue.  There is nothing related to that number on the comic anywhere.

All I saw was a Copyright notice for Harvey comics with the year 1968.  So, I think Comic Vine just took the year and appended a 2 digit sequence number after it.

It's not from the comic itself.

  8. The v20.0.1 did not fix the Extended Price issue when printing a Collection Report.  I have installed v20.0.1.2764.
I still have to do a File Tools --> Rebuild Lists (Item Information Selected) to make the Collection Report update the Extended Price field prior to printing.

Do you know when it will be fixed?

This was a free giveaway from American Airlines from 1968 to 1977.
There are multiple years of issues, none have an indica that I know of.
Some years there are multiple releases.

Comic Vine has a great list of all 20 known issues. Can you get the dB updated with all the variations?

I can provide the stories and cover photo for the oldest:
