These have non-standard cover scans.

701/A-703/A connect with both the background and various foreground elements.
704/A connects with a continuation of the background, but the foreground elements that would continue across the break between the issues are incomplete on both sides.
I'm inclined to call this a 4-ptych, but this one feels like cheating...

5) Battle Chasers #4/A and 4/C indicate that there is a connecting 4-ptych across the back covers..., can anyone confirm this with #4/B and 4/D?

And then, blurring the lines (to mix a metaphor), there's Batman: Shadow of the Bat #32-33. I think it would also qualify as "contrasting", not "connecting" covers, but the divide is across Harvey Dent/Two Face's... face...

I think if something like this were implemented, it would probably go as another media, as in Books, Comicbooks, Magazines, Newspapers, Items, Misc., etc.

Is there an official designation for covers of this type to use in Comicbase, as I have come across the above examples as I'm working on better documentation of -ptych covers?
I vote for "contrasting covers".

There are a number of variants of the above issues that state they are connecting covers by various artists, that kinda look paired across those two titles. The variants each came out 1 cover date month apart. The kinda look connecting, but in contrasting ways rather than blended ways. Are they diptychs?

Almost everywhere, the program refers to the position as "Cover Inks".

But the actual search field is...
I.[CoverInks] does not work as a search field. Which is the phrasing reinforced by being universally used everywhere else in the program.
My suggestions - either add a functioning "CoverInks" alias, or change the above references from "Cover Inks" to "Cover Inker".

If the alias was working, shouldn't I be able to equally search for I.[CoverInker] and I.[CoverInks]?
I.[CoverInker] works, I.[CoverInks] does not.
If there's supposed to be an alias in this case, it doesn't appear to be working.
If there's no alias, I politely suggest that the wording in the list reflect the actual field.

The internal field is I.[CoverInker]
In the find window, the entry in the Fields dropdown box in the upper right is "Cover Inks", but properly fills in "I.[CoverInker]".
In the find window, the entry in the Find tool in the near upper left is "Item Fields | Cover Inks", but properly searches "I.[CoverInker]".
This confused me at first when I tried to type an Advanced Find based on what I saw in the above lists.

I'm working on useful, searchable annotations for connected covers.
It would be really cool if you could search for these connected covers and the software could display the issues such that the combined image could be seen.
Probably annoying to implement, since while most are horizontal, some are vertical and some are in a matrix. But still, it would be cool.

I think this is a duplicate with # 5/C or #5/D. Item Description describes 5/C, cover scan is same as 5/D.

Just an note on my progress...
I've tagged about 1400 possible connecting issues.
Walking through into the middle 'D's, I've documented 433 connecting issues so far, including a number of previously unidentified pieces.
