The newest default folder for the database is: C drive\ComicBase\ComicBase Databases
Although, really you can place it wherever you like.
Once CB is installed, just click on the database file in whatever location it is in and CB will start with that database and remember where it is.
Or use File->Open and navigate to the database location.
PS I just realized that 'Tags' are mentioned in the error message. Make sure you have the most recent build ( b3934 ). You can download it by going to ComicBase website and using My Account->Registrations, click on the green arrow and clicking the Other radio button.

The most recent build is b3934. Try installing that and see if that helps.

What Edition and Version of CB do you have? You can use menu item Help-> About ComicBase to get this info.
It may be updating a field like Price if the value of an issue which could be changed even if you don't own an issue.

I am not sure what you meant by 'copied everything'.
The only thing you had to copy over was your .CBDB database file (and the Pictures folder if needed).
In general, steps to take to move to a new computer the easy way is to:
Backup your database to the cloud (or manually copy from computer to computer either through the network or using a flash drive).
Download and install the most recent CB install. (when downloading click the Other radio button to get the most recent build).
Either copy the database from the network or flash drive to new folder OR after install, CB should prompt if you want to copy your database from the Cloud backup.
As for Cover Scans, that depends. If you have 'Automatically download larger pictures' in Preferences, the covers should automatically show up as needed.

The workaround for this type of situations is to type in Mavens, then click in the box and use Backspace to delete the 'S'.
Then Click OK,

No, don't bother with the Modify. What this normally indicates is the 'external' build number on the web page is out of sync with the actual install file.
Another possibility is that the web page got updated but there is a delay getting the install replaced.
In either case, I would wait awhile (a couple of hours?) and try again. If you still get the window which includes modify after a day or so, you may contact support and see if there is an issue they need to fix.

Yes but have you erased (or made unavailable by renaming) the contents of the Reports folder so CB has no choice but to create 'new' ones which, hopefully, will be the correct ones?
-
It couldn't hurt to delete (or rename) the Report folder and then try an Uninstall / Install to see if it will create the correct files when it isn't trying to replace them.

It is possible 1/G was meant to be the 2nd Printing Virgin cover by Skottie Young with a UPC of 75960621013800123 (at least that is how Midtown Comics lists it). I looks like it is also a Limited 1 for 25 Retailer Incentive.
Not sure how the numbering scheme would go.Would it be 1/G-2 (since it is listed as 2nd Printing of the 1/G cover)
or
1/G-3 (since the UPC ends with 3)
or
Something else?

You will probably have to email or call support directly.
b3906 for the 4K Archive Edition is working correctly on my computer.

There may be a couple of things that might be causing this.
A) The thumbnail isn't being updated
You can go to the folder C \Users\Public\Documents\Human Computing\Thumbnails and delete the thumbnail cover (for the correct cover size).
NOTE: You can delete any/all files or folders and CB will recreate as needed.B) It might be automatically downloading larger pictures from the CB cloud.
Check Setup->Preferences and see if 'Automatically download larger pictures' is checked.
If it is, you might try to 'uncheck' it and see if it helps (you can always change it back).PS I have added a correct 1280 x 1835 cover scan for #3 and submitted it to get this updated.

How do I get rid of Sidekick?
If you don't want Sidekick to automatically start you can do the following (on Windows 11).
Open Settings
Click on Apps
Click on Startups
Look for ComicBase 2026 Sidekick and set to Off.Not sure what to do about other messages/notifications.

You may need to Uninstall (Resources and Program) and download/install the newest build.
I had the same problem and this version did fix it (at least for me).
However, I would hold off for a bit as I found another problem.
When I tested using all of your parameters except with Covers, it works. But if Cover Size: None is selected, you get an error 'The section height is not valid'.
I will notify Pete about this.

NOTE: Before trying this MAKE A COPY of your database and experiment with it until you get what you want. When satisfied, apply to actual Database (after making a Backup, just in case...).
If you can Export and Import in you CB Edition, you can try that. Here is a rough (as in not tested recently) outline of the steps.
Mark the (Regular) issues you want to change (you can do this one Title at a time or more efficiently by doing all issues in all Titles).
Export with fields Title, Item #, Condition, Qty In Stock (other columns such as Custom Fields, Cost, etc.), and Options: Export only Marked Items, Include field headers, and Item Separator of Tab.
Open in with a text editor (i.e. Notepad) or Excel.
Change all the Item Numbers by adding -NS to them.
Save (for Excel, save as a Tab Delimited if needed).
Import the file.
Without testing to be sure, this should populate the NS issue with the values you exported from the Regular issues.
NOTE: The original Regular Issues will still have Qty in Stock set to 1.
One way to 'fix' this is to take the same (or copy of) Export Import file, remove the -NS (or make the copy before changing), change Qty In Stock to 0 and 'blank' out the other fields you export (Custom Fields, Cost, etc.).
Then Import this 'Regular' issue file.
PS: You will still need to deal with any covers you have scanned yourself manually. For example, you scanned a large cover for #1 (but it is really a Newsstand cover). This process will not change that cover file from 1.jpg to 1-NS.jpg.
PPS: Did I mention trying this on a COPY? And make a Backup before applying to actual database?

b3871 seems to have fixed the problem (at least in my database).
I believe it was a problem with Crystal Reports which could have contributed to taking so long to fix.

You can but what will happen is the title will have the old (incorrect) issues AND the new (corrected) issues.
Basically, you can not delete any incorrect Issues (or Titles). That is something the Editors have to do.
So, yes, sending an email to support with the information would get the fastest resolution. (They will see this post but it is not the fastest way for corrections.)
PS Do your issues have the UPC box on the cover like Midtown Comics?
I moved to a new computer, but can't get my database to open

If you have b3934 installed, you shouldn't be getting that error.
But since you seem too, Rebuild lists (you only need Series Information since that is where the Tags are associated with). The others won't hurt but don't really affect your problem.
If that still doesn't fix it, you will probably need to contact Support directly tomorrow.
