  1. Could this get added to the database? Not sure what variation to assign it, as there appear to be other Comics Elite exclusives that are missing from the database. This is the Marco Turini minimal trade dress cover, for what it's worth. Barcode is 76194136985300123. https://comicselitecomics.com/products/dc-vs-vampires-turini-minimal-cvr-b-ltd-1500-10-26-21
  2. The collected editions in the database jump from Bk 6 to Bk 10. I was trying to input what should be Bk 7, as it collects issues 31-38. The indicia, however, states the title as "Avengers by Jason Aaron Vol. 7: The Age of Konshu." There is no entry for "Avengers by Jason Aaron" that I can find, and both the ISBN (978-1-302-92486-7) and barcode (978130292486751999) go nowhere. Where and how should this be listed?
  3. I am in the home stretch of entering my sadly neglected collection (only 2 1/2 long boxes of loose books to go!) and I noticed something: The mobile app scans 99 percent of DC and Marvel books instantly. Most indy publishers, too. But Dark Horse? Nope. Doesn't like it, doesn't want to, usually won't do it. And I am wondering why. I know that bar codes are designed for a completely different scanning mechanism than a cell phone camera, so it must be something in how Dark Horse prints their barcodes that is the reason it doesn't work. I'm not bothered by this, really, just curious as to the underlying reason.
  4. I think I found the problem. The database is missing this variant, and has the wrong UPC numbers assigned after 76194137132000141. This NYCC variant with the Frank Cho cover has the UPC 76194137132000151. In the database, that number is assigned to the Carla Cohen cover variant. The Cohen cover is actually 76194137132000161. The minimal trade dress variant of the Cohen cover is 76194137132000181. The Warren Louw variant is correctly listed in the database as 76194137132000171, but the minimal trade dress Louw variant is actually 76194137132000191.
  5. Could this get added to the database? It appears to recycle the bar code from the 1/E variant.
  6. Entering my collection, finally got to the B's. First issue of "Blade: Vampire Hunter" (1999-2000), I hit a snag. There are two UPC codes in the database for issue one, and mine doesn't match either. The UPC in the database for the issue is 75960604796300111; I have attached a photo of mine. Is this the mysterious "news stand variant" listed but not photographed in the GCD?
  7. Every time I try to update the database, I get this error. "String was not recognized as a valid DateTime when updating magazines batch." And the update fails, as far as I can tell. So what gives? It didn't start until I put in all my "Life With Archie" and "2000AD" issues, so is it tied to those? Any help would be appreciated.
  8. So I just updated my Comic Base software for the first time in years, and I am trying to enter stuff. Steep learning curve, for sure. But I hit a snag here. I have a CGC-graded copy of Mercy Sparx (3rd Series) #1. There is no cover price or UPC. The cover itself is blank, with a convention sketch by Josh Blaylock. It doesn't match any of the listed variants in the database. Obviously, I can't open it to find any UPC hidden on the inside. Any ideas?
