I re-installed CB Express on a new laptop, imported a database from a backup that was on old laptop. Now there are no cover images, even the default for issue 1. I checked for the default location under C:\Users\Public\Documents\Human Computing, and there is no thumbnails folder. I copy from old laptop so I can import the covers I downloaded, and still nothing. All I get is the default Marvel image and nothing else. Tried removing and re-installing, still same result, am I missing a new location or something ?

Try this. Use Menu item File->File Tools and select 'Manage Pictures and Movies'.
This should bring up a window with the location that CB is looking for the Pictures/Logos (and another for the Media Folder).
NOTE the location is the folder that CONTAINS the Pictures file. For example, the default locations is <C-Drive>\Users\Public\Documents\Human Computing which contains the Pictures, Logos, and Media folders (among others).
Note 2: As an aside, you can change this default to another location, if you like.

Alternately, you use any JPG file, rename it to match an issue number (changing any / to a -) then drag/drop it to the display grid. Once added, you can right-click on the large image in the top left corner and select 'Show Picture File' to find where CB is putting them. (you can delete that JPG file after you find the location).

PS I am an Archive user but I think this should all apply to the Express Edition, but have not tested it.

I appreciate the help, however I am still puzzled by the lack of "seed" images for the number one issues. I am also questioning where the folders are so I can just copy the folder I spent days searching and populating with images. Even if I link the image by drag/drop, the resolution is horrible to where they are not suable, on top of the thousand or so images I would need to connect

Per information on the CB website:
Express Edition has:
Over 15,000 full-color comic covers
77,051 Comic Book Titles
That works out to about 1 cover for every 5 or 6 Titles (assuming there is only 1 cover for a title).

These should be full size cover and not just small thumbnail sized images.

The Archive and Professional Editions have the ability to only install thumbnail sized images and (with the correct option set) to automatically download the full sized imaged when it is clicked on. This saves space as only the issues you access would store full sized covers on your disk.
Since I don't think Express has the ability to download covers, I don't know if this feature is available.
To check, use menu item Setup->Preferences and at the bottom right of the window, see if you have an option to check for 'Automatically download larger pictures when viewing items'. If you do, check the box. After saving see if access one of the covers if a full sized image is displayed.

If you still only have tiny thumbnail sized images, you may need to contact support to find out is that is normal with Express or help figure out the problem.

PS You should be able to supply your own full sized images.
