Manuel J. Galceran Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I would appreciate if someone could explain why issues that started with #666 are listed in this series. To be honest, it does not make sense to have them here. In addition, the "top part of the series description indicates that this series covered from 2010-2014 and continues into 2024-2025. Lastly, is there really an 8th Series? When is that supposed to be starting? I ask because none of the issues already listed have any cover date. Hopefully, someone will be able to clue me in. Thank you!
Randall J. Paske Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Listing #666-675 under the 3rd series instead of the 7th series (or even an 8th series) makes to sense to me, either, but I do know that the publisher is starting over with #1 yet again beginning in March, necessitating the title currently labeled as the 8th series in CB. Dynamite does not usually include dates on their covers or in their indicia.
Steven L. Dasinger Posted January 19 Posted January 19 For Vampirella (3rd Series) containing #666 and up: From the Dynamite website: "To celebrate the start of Vampirella's sixth decade in comics, CHRISTOPHER PRIEST and ERGUN GUNDUZ continue their legendary run on the series with a mind-bending new story that launches with the landmark issue #666 - restoring the legacy numbering for the title that will continue going forward, reflecting all of Vampi's previous appearances in print. The road to #700 starts here!" CB appears to be handling this like it did with other Titles that changed numbering to reflect the entire run spanning many series. Examples: Wonder Woman (1st Series) 1 - 329 (1942-1986) 600 - 614 (2010-2011) 750 - 800 (2020-2022) Amazing Spider-Man, The 1 - 441 (1963-1998) 500 - 750 (2003-2014) 789 - 801 (2017-2018) ------------------ Vampirella (8th Series) has the Street Date set to March 26, 2025 so this series must have been set up with pre-order information.
Manuel J. Galceran Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 Steven, thanks for that feedback. However, now that I take a close look at it I understand the logic since the 3rd series was the first one that Vampirella was actually published under the Dynamite banner. Mystery solved!
