Evan C. Fix Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I am running the Express Plus Edition and attempting to load the covers of those issues that are not provided. I figured out that for standard issues if i go into the picture file and put the image there named as the corresponding issue number, it appears. The problem is trying to get it to populate for variant issues, what should i name the image to make it appear?
Steven L. Dasinger Posted February 26 Posted February 26 The naming of Cover scan files if fairly easy. The only rule is 'Replace an '/' with '-'. Other with, type what is shown as the issue number. Example: 678/A would be 678-A.jpg Bk 1/A-2 would be Bk 1-A-2.jpg 1

I named it the correct name 678-B and still not showing? Further more I noticed in subsequent series i.e Amazing Spider-Man Series 2 attempting to upload base covers is not resulting in the cover being shown
Steven L. Dasinger Posted February 27 Posted February 27 First thing I would check is if the file type is .JPG. If not, it won't be recognized. Second thing I would try is not just adding it directly to the folder. Instead goto the Title you want to add the cover scan to, then Right-Click and hold on the cover scan at its current location and drag/drop it in the grid area (where all the issue information is displayed). This will add it to the correct location. At some time in the past, you occasionally needed to leave the Title and come back for the display to be refreshed (but I haven't noticed this for some time). You can find the correct location CB is looking for cover scans by Right-Click on the large Cover display (top left corner) and selecting Show Picture File (NOTE: there has to be at least one cover in the Title for this to work. Otherwise, it will take you to the Publisher Logo file.) You can also verify and or change the location CB is looking for cover scans by using menu item File->File Tools and selecting Manage Pictures and Movies. If none of this helps, I am either not understanding the exact process you are doing or there is some strange problem and you will need to contact support.
Evan C. Fix Posted February 27 Author Posted February 27 Attempted those solutions and it is still not working. Naming it correctly and verified the images are in JPG format
Steven L. Dasinger Posted February 27 Posted February 27 It is hard to see in you screen print but I think the issue you are adding is 678-B in 'The Amazing Spider-Man'. If that is correct, it is named incorrectly. There is no 678/B issue. There is a 678/A issue with the cover you have (venomized Mary Jane) However, I see that you have both 678/A and 678/B in your database so it should be showing up in the incorrect entry but isn't for some unknown reason.

What course of action would you recommend
Steven L. Dasinger Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Since this is supposed to be a relatively simple process, and it isn't working, I would call (phone number from website: 408-266-6883 or email support@comicbase.com.
Mark J. Castaneda Posted February 28 Posted February 28 be careful with the file extension. Some programs save out jpeg files as .jpeg rather than .jpg (which is the preferred type for ComicBase, lose the 'e').
