When I try to add covers, your program is now automatically changing everything to be without extensions, so 1-A.jpg is being changed to 1.jpg so five different covers are all trying to go to the same comic.  I've also tried to just add one at a time and 1.jpg got changed to 1-A.jpg, and 1-B.jpg got changed to 1.jpg.

What is your Edition and Version?

What specific Title and Issues are involved?

Can you describe in detail what you are doing?

(Using 4K Archive Edition v25.6.0.2633, I have tired to recreate this by going to Title Concert of Champions with Issues 1, 1/A, 1/B, 1/C and 1/D, renaming some Cover Scans to 1.jpg, 1-A.jpg and 1-B.jpg. then drag/drop individually and as a group and both times then were added to the correct Issues. I am not able to recreate your problem.)

25.6.0.2679

As near as I can tell it's every title and any issues I try.  I'm literally just trying to drag and drop new covers for this weeks comics, nothing more than I do every week.

I just went to Concert of Champions.  The image named 1.jpg went to issue 1/A and the image named 1-A.jpg went to issue 1/B just now.  When I navigate to the assigned folder for Concert of Champions, the images have been RENAMED to 1-A.jpg and 1-B.jpg, they are not staying 1.jpg and 1-A.jpg

I uninstalled CB and rolled it back to 25.5.1.2504 and it seemed to fix the problem.  I then updated BACK to 25.6.0.2679 and it's back to doing it again so it is OBVIOUSLY a problem with your program update.

Thanks. I assumed that was what you were doing but I have been doing support long enough to verify and not just assume.

I upgraded to the same version and now am able to recreate you problem.

I think this is related to a new feature that Pete demonstrated in yesterdays LiveStream.

In that demonstration, he said you had to drop/drag the cover Exactly over the cover display box and NOT on the entire line and it would automatically rename to that issue.

To make it easier to add covers from outside sources. But the behavior of b2679 is NOT working as it should be.

What it is supposed to do is leave the drag/drop from a local source (your computer) to the Grid as it has always worked.

It is supposed to add a cover image if you drag/drop from an outside source (like GCD), AND you place the cursor ONLY on the cover issues display field for a specific issue, THEN it would rename the cover image from whatever the outside source named it (i.e. 1134563.jpg) to that issue's number and add it.

I have notified Pete directly to let him know about this problem.

Build 2685 changes up the drag and drop behavior, let me know if this helps:

1. If you drag folders of items, it attempts to auto-match the title from the folder name and put the corresponding items in each (this is an old behavior, but little-known)
2. If you drag multiple items, it does not auto-rename at all. It's assuming that the items are named properly
3. If you drag a single item--if does not auto-rename if the corresponding item is in the grid. E.g., if I drag an item marked 3 (or 3-NS) into a grid which contains an item called #3 (or #3/NS), it leaves the original item name alone--regardless of what the original file was called.
4. If you drag a single item over where it's either a direct drag from a web browser, or a file whose name does not correspond to a given item in the grid, it renames it to match your drag targeted row.
5. And finally, you can always override and do manual renaming by holding down Alt when dragging.

#2 is NOT working right then.  Because I just tried to drag two covers 1-A.jpg and 1-B.jpg at the same time.  It replaced 1-A.jpg fine, but then it tried to rename 1-B.jpg to 1-A.jpg.  So currently you CAN NOT drag and drop multiple items at the same time.
