Gregory Hecht Posted March 19 Posted March 19 The Overstreet Price Guide was mentioned earlier today on Pete’s Slack, and it got me thinking (a dangerous thing, as cliched as that sounds)……. Do people even pay attention to Overstreet any more? How relevant is Overstreet since as a physical book it can only contain a fraction of English language comics that have been published? If people want to get an idea as to the value of a particular comic book, is Overstreet still the first place that they go? It was definitely the most common reference when I went to cons, antique shows, and flea markets in the 80’s and early 90’s. But that was in the pre-Internet days, and we’re more than quarter century past the start of the Home Internet Age. What seems to be the common practice now, both in terms of what you personally do and what you have seen other sellers doing?
Steven L. Dasinger Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I have only purchased one Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide (#16 from 1986), so I would go into the 'Overstreet-who are they?' category.
Jeff Serota Posted May 2 Posted May 2 I remember using them asa cross-reference to Wizard pricing in the early 90s
