When Will Cover Scan Be Available?

Featured Replies

Comicbase has the largest database but no cover scan option in the mobile app. Other competitors are getting it or a beta version or have it. I would think a cover scan option in the mobile app would be incredible with Comicbase's superior database. Thoughts?

I kind of like this as a tech gimmick (it scratches the geek side of my brain), and I might take it on as a side project at some time.

That said, it's almost certainly going to be one of the slowest and most unreliable ways to look up what you're looking for. A barcode search takes a second and is bang on for all comics with one; a title search (first couple of letters of the title, a second or two to choose the title, followed by a second or two to type the issue number (or scroll) is almost certain to be several times faster and more reliable than any image-related search.
