I'm constantly getting notifications to renew my subscription.  If my internet is out the program won't launch at all as it constantly tries to connect to the internet.  If I happen to already have the program open and my internet goes out, every change gives me an error that it cannot connect to comicbase.com.  How do I turn all of these off?  How do I get rid of Sidekick?

If you don't want Sidekick to automatically start you can do the following (on Windows 11).

Open Settings
Click on Apps
Click on Startups
Look for ComicBase 2026 Sidekick and set to Off.

Not sure what to do about other messages/notifications.

Is it sidekick doing any of those things?  Why is CB constantly checking for internet connection?

Couple of things here:

1. Make sure you're using the latest build of ComicBase. There have been some changes of late which could trip up the smooth application of offline mode which were since fixed.

2. ComicBase will go into "offline mode" if you have no internet at all. You'll see a note at the right of the program that you're offline, and ll internet checks will be suspended.

3. I suspect the particular checks you were encountering were availability lookups/pricing for items on Atomic Avenue when you click on an item. You can disable the price graph to disable those, but it's still going to want to do checks for various things like checking for updates, saving backups, etc. --all of which require the internet.

Nope, when I lose internet, ANY action at all, even just selecting a comic or moving to a different title gives the following error, and it's not just once, EVERY time I make any kind of action at all gets this error
