This may be a really dumb question but when I run the statistics on my collection it will show how many comics and then shows how many unique issues. Is the number for comics the amount of different titles I own and the unique issues is the actual total amount of individual comics issues I own? Just wanted to be sure. Thanks!

On the Collection Statistics:

The first number is the total number of issues including duplicate issues.

Unique number is the  of Issues distinct issues regardless of how many duplicate issues (it just counts Duplicates as 1).

For example if you have Qty in Stock of 1 for all issues but one which has Qty in Stock of 2, the two numbers would be 1 different (ex. 100 Unique issues and 101 Issues (including the duplicate).

NOTE: Duplicates can be indicated by either Qty in Stock >=2 OR by having duplicated an issues to have two entries with different Grades.

 

Thank you! I will have to look at it again. I could swear the unique issues is the higher number on mine. I always took the first number (that’s lower) as the total amount of comic issues I own but it sounds like the higher number would be including duplicates and that is what I should go by to determine the total amount of comics issues I own.
