July 6Jul 6 Do you use ComicBase Sidekick to download content updates? It also has a content update setting you need to uncheck so you don't download prelim covers. *Also, there is a built-in feature that downloads prelim art if an issue(s) with no thumbnail is clicked on manually. Just want to mention that just in case that could what's going on.

July 8Jul 8 You should have an arrow icon on your Windows Taskbar, when clicked on you'll see all your running hidden programs, Sidekick (blue guy with a yellow cape icon) will be one of them. It'll look like so...Right-Click on him and select the Settings option and review what you got set under the Content Update tab, ensure the option to download preliminary art is set to your liking.

When our next batch of prelim art we add at the end of the month gets included with that week's content update, see if you get prelim art for comics coming out in Oct2026.

July 23Jul 23 Author No they're not automatically downloading. It's downloading preliminary artwork when I click to download covers. Other issues have preliminary artwork in your master but do not download when I try those. So these are somehow flagged different in your master.
July 24Jul 24 thanks for the clarification. What is happening is as-designed. If you manually click on an issue to download a cover you will get whatever cover we have currently linked (legit or prelim). Overtime, we hope replace what prelim art we have with the legit cover through our in-house ordering OR help from our user community's submissions which get included with a future weekly content update.*Those Update options were you uncheck the 'don't download prelim art' option don't apply to manually downloading covers; that's specific the batch of covers we include with a weekly content update only.
