Issue comic issues with the same number

If this is feature I cannot find it. 
 

A comic, for example Action Comics 1000, has several issued 1000 with different variants. 1000a, 1000b, and so on. ( I think it has over 50 different covers)
I would like a feature that allows me run reports of missing comics of variant covers only if I want them. If I have any issue of Action 1000, I want it to allow me to say I have it. So much space in my reports of missing comics are of variant covers I don’t want. I just want to have an entire run sequentially. Does that make sense?
