  1. We typically only get the regular cover of most new comics on their release week. Overtime we get the variants added in future content updates.

Every week's new content update includes a batch of new covers and old covers; doesn't include the previous weeks' batches of covers - you'll have to manually download covers that you might have missed in older updates.

  2. There's no style guide for this kind of stuff...

These days we treat graphic novels as just regular items but if its a Hardcover we change the variation type accordingly.

Box sets can be tricky. Ideally a Deluxe Set would be the first item type to go with if its a slipcase style item. CS would be used if the item collects a short run of issue numbers.

If you ever have questions about what to designate things as, feel free to email us at support@comicbase.com and our editorial team can help you further.

  3. Apparently in the main Print Window, the 'Export' button was never intended to be active for Divider Labels (so its a bug).

Alternatively, If you hit 'Preview' button instead, on the preview window that pops up you'll have an export button at the top/left of the interface so you can save out the labels.

  4. make sure you are using the latest build for CB2020 (v20.0.3.3829), you can download/install the latest CB2020 program installer from your online account here: https://www.comicbase.com/mycb/Registrations.aspx

Next, make sure in Sidekick's settings, that in the General Tab you have the desired database listed. If you don't see it, feel free to add it. Subtract any database from the list you don't use. Also, in the Schedule Tab, review what is set there. Ideally you want to schedule any of the options at a time when your computer is on and you're not using the main ComicBase software. Try to update after in Sidekick and see if that helps.

If the problem persists, please email our team at support@comicbase.com

  5. After you do some scanning through the mobile app, hop on your computer and launch ComicBase. Go the Internet Menu>Check for New Sales and Purchases - this will sync what you added through the app into your database on the computer.

  6. Before you enter comics using the app, make sure you also link your database to the app... to do this, launch ComicBase on your computer, go the File Menu>Collection Statistics - this shows your current collection value AND on the backend links your db to the mobile app.

  7. go into the File Menu>File Tools>Rebuild Lists...

Select the first 3 options then hit the Rebuild button

afterwards, try to run the report and see if you're successful.

If you still have trouble please screenshot the report options you picked and we'll try to replicate the problem on our end.

  8. download/install the latest build (in case your running an older version) for CB2020 from your online account here and see if it helps: https://www.comicbase.com/mycb/Registrations.aspx

Restart the software, go the File Menu>File Tools>Optimize - this will help smooth up your database

afterwards, try to print a report.

if you still have trouble, please email our team at support@comicbase.com and detail out the steps you did to produce the error.
