  1. I added a magazine Title of "Comic Buyer's Guide Annual" even though there was a title "Comic Buyer's Guide" (I did not see that the annuals were is the database so I looked at the indices and added it. Support is saying that the annuals should be in the Title "Comic Buyer's Guide".but I no longer see that title when I look. I have downloaded the current weekly upgrade and the title still is not there. Is there a special way to get this title to download? Thanks
  2. Was watching Last weeks livestream with Peter and realized I should try the Series Fields and not the Items Fields. Worked great. Thank you
  3. That's what I decided to do. I have submitted the new data and will have to see what they decide.
  4. I am trying your method and it is not working, so I assume I am doing it wrong. I have done a CNTL-T, highlighted and hit modify. I then checked Custom Check 1. I then ran a find on My Comics, "Custom Check 1" "is checked" and no results are found. What am I doing wrong? I have included some screen shot. BTW. Thanks for the possible work around
  5. I have an Evil Ernie: Pieces of Me #1 script. It doe not contain panel art but rather describes the comic book in prose to the artist for creation. Its indie has a title of "Evil Ernie: Pieces of Me #1 script", November 2000, Published by Chaos Comics. The actual comic was published at the same time. My question is would this be a book (as it is not a comic book per se and has a different title by the indie) or would it be an "new issue" of the Evil Ernie: PoM Comic and, if so, what type? It is not bound but rather a loose pages held together with Metal Brass page fasteners. TIA P.S. I also have an official script from the movie Weird Science that is similar but was not published (I got it from one of the actors in the movie)
  6. I got it to work! My last post prompted me to think about the aspect ratio. I looked at the image in preview and found the information on the image showed a 90 degree CCW rotation (as it shows when I put the image in CB). I imported it into Photos and then inspected it and it showed no rotation. After exporting the picture and then putting into CB, it comes up perfectly. Thanks for putting up with me.
  7. It was checked so I unchecked it but no change in the results. I suspect it has something to do with the aspect ratio when scanning. Due to the size of the book I had to scan it sideways (as it appears in the grid) but the rotated it to be properly displayed in preview mode. I saved it and it always comes up in the correct orientation but after putting it into CB the orientation is incorrect. My main goal here was to provide a larger scan for the CB database but I also have the same issue with another (new) book where the image is incorrectly oriented
  8. No it stays with the same orientation. When I change the name in the Pictures folder and then force a reload from CB the folder looks like this and the grid looks like: and selecting the thumbnail looks like this: I was trying to get a larger scan for upload to CB
  9. I have scanned this cover and rotated it for proper aspect and placed it in the grid. Comicbase recognizes it and replaces it but rotated 90 degrees. What can I do to correct this? (I have included the original file and a screenshot of the image after dropping it onto the grid.)
  10. I emailed this suggestion to support but thought I'd post here to see if anyone else has the same issue/desire. I collect Amazing Spider-man and due to the modern day trend that society will not jump on a long running title with a "big" number, publishers decided to create new volumes/series with new numbering. ASM has Volume 1,2, Series 3,4,5,6, Superior Spider-Man (V1) and ASM: Renew your vows all in its legacy numbering scheme. Therefore, to create a want list (Items Checklist) I must select those titles each time I want to create an updated list. I think it would be very convenient if a user could create a list of titles and be able to select that title grouping to get all the titles instead of having to individually select them each time. Some may find it convenient to have multiple title lists such as a Batman group, Superman, Thor, etc. Anyone think this is a good idea?
  11. I believe this is possible already (Think I read it in earlier versions user guide) but could I create a new "Collection" (i.e. statues) and enter those into Comicbase?
  12. sorry I have not responded but this issue kept spiraling. 1). My default for windows 11 link type http(s) is edge. I guess this means that CB doe not use this setting for the display. No Joy 2) closing and reopening did nothing. No Joy. 3) I have upgraded to CB version 24 and the issue still occurs. No Joy Before I go further I wanted to say thank you for your suggestions. Anything else? Bueller? Bueller? 😀
  13. I updated the database and when I clicked on "view Unrecognized items" a dialog box came up asking what to view it with. Didn't realize the program I should have picked is explorer and chose preview. Now it brings up [review when clicked but as its' an html file nothing displays. I can not figure out how to clear/reset this setting. Help
