  1. A final thought; it appears that a mapped drive is what slowed it up. There's no issue with speed when it's a direct path to the pictures.
  2. Thanks for the advice, all. Ultimately it was a system issue because of the way I have things set up. I have both the database and pictures on an external drive so I can use it on both my desktop and laptop. I share that picture folder so I can map it as a network drive and then in File->File Tools->Manage Pictures, I set it to point to that mapped drive. On a whim, I copied the database and pictures to my laptop, and reset where the pictures are pointed too. That sped things up greatly. On my desktop, I set the picture path to where they are on the external drive (instead of the mapped drive), and that also sped things up.
  3. Whenever I'm entering data in Action Comics and hitting F3 to jump to an issue, it takes around 30 minutes before the issue becomes active to edit. What would be the reason for that? Action seems to be the only title that gives me trouble.
  4. I downloaded the latest build. After I turned off "attempt to match barcode for unknown item" this week's update worked fine. I was getting an error when match barcode was checked.
  5. OK, good to know. I gave up after the third click. I did do an update to the program because I have "get incremental updates" turned on. Should I reinstall with the base version?
  6. When doing the content update, I keep getting this error sql logic error near "Title" I click OK on the error box and it pops up again and does so each time OK is clicked. I'm not sure what's going on. Any help is appreciated.
  7. Works like a charm now!!! Thanks!!!
  8. Not a CB 2021 issue, as I noticed it in CB 2020, although I don't know when it started happening. When typing appearances, psychic typing isn't coming up with characters that have parenthesis included, so Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) isn't showing up automatically.
  9. I had been sorting by title and issue number. But, as I'm actively collecting Silver Age Action Comics and Superman as well as the current issues, it is a hassle to shift everything. I've recently started pulling all Superman related comics into separate boxes. That should, hopefully, reduce the amount of shifting that needs to happen. I also agree on the comments about mylar, I'm slowly replacing all may bags with mylar, as well as making sure the boards are true acid free.
  10. I keep getting an index out of range error in Collection Report no matter what options I use. For me Item Checklist works for either Wanted or Marked issues, but not both (I use marked on my wanted issues to pare down a weekly shopping list). Find gets me the list I need. Would prefer a print option from the find, but good to know that I can copy and paste the find results elsewhere.
