  1. Strategy 1 did the trick. I guess it was moved to magazine from comic book sometime in the last couple of months. Thanks for the assist!
  2. I recently started getting an error when posting comics for sale on AA. I get an email stating that there are unrecognized issues (see below). The titles are: CBLDF Defender CBLDF Defender (Vol. 2) I removed the issues - and titles - from my CB database. I then re-downloaded the latest update. The title did not get added into my CB database. So I re-added the title and issues, and still the same issue - not recognized. How do I force CB update to re-add the 2 titles so I can re-add the issues into my CB database? I even created a brand new DB, and exported the 2 titles and then imported them to my existing DB. Same issue, always unrecognized issues. Note that I have had these for sale for quite some time now prior, and the unrecognized stuff is new from the last couple of months. When I go to AA, the titles are there, but I just can't get my CB to match what I add to the title that CB/AA is using.
  3. Steven, thanks so much! I never noticed that field before! Hopefully that does the trick.
  4. More and more often, a hot book crops up and AA pricing is way off base. Example, the Spider-Man #7 spoiler cover. Completed sales in the last week range from $30-$40 range. But AA has it at $3.99. I know that for hot books, it can be tough to keep up and that is perfectly understandable. What I would like to see is the ability to lock the price in my CB database for individual issues, so that a subsequent downloaded update of the database doesn't change it. I've got a few copies for sale at $39 on AA right now, but the next update will set them back to $3.99, unless i stop CB from updating all prices for all books. Would be nice to have a check box right next to the "Sale" check bock that would prevent updates of the price, but only if that box was checked.
  5. Okay, found the way to add the grading companies. Took a bit of cajoling, but got it to add them.
  6. Not sure how or why, but most of my grading setup conditions for grading companies are gone. I don't have CGC, CBCS or PGX standard grades. Is there any way to add the grades and % of NM values easily? If not, is there a chart showing what the standard %'s for each one are?
  7. On the "Add by barcode" window, can it be changed - or have added - the total cost of books being added? Currently, it has total cover price. I like to make sure I've got the price paid entered correctly, and being able to compare the cost on my sales receipt to this screen would be *very* helpful. It was there in previous versions, BTW.
  8. I get the following error when trying to apply the latest update. This happens when applying when it asks on startup, or if I manually try to download the update from within CB.
  9. Did and uninstall/install and it's now working as it should.
  10. Since upgrading to this version, the automatic backups are no longer taking place. I've tried selecting both "Save bakups to same folder as the original database" and "Save all backups to folder:" options. The backup never kicks off.
  11. You can add custom grades and percentages. ComicBase makes valuations based on a % of their NM pricing. For instance, CGC 9.0 is 160% of the value of a NM non-graded book. If you want to add a SS grade, simply go to Setup/Grading, and click on the green + to add a new grade. Example is for a 25% premium for SS over the CGC Universal grade. You'll have to do some math, but it should give you what you want. FYI: The percentages that CB uses for 9.8 grades can be wildly off base. My 9.8 NM 98 shows a price of $6,800, which is 1200% of the NM price they list of $570 for the book. I *wish* I could sell mine for that!
  12. Can't start Sidekick. CB2021 4K Archive Edition v21.0.0.1174. Have verified everything is registered, shows my name and serial number correctly in Help/About ComicBase Get this error:
  13. The registration page link shows it will download version 20.0.3 (Build 3833), but the link actually downloads Build 3829. See below. ComicBase 2020 Archive Edition Installer v20.0.3 (Build 3833) (15.07 MB)
  14. Looks like there are a number of Free Comic Book Day issues that have been added to this title, which is listed as a magazine. There should be a separate title for Comic Book, as the FCBD issues are comic books, not magazines. The years that are listed under the magazine title are FCBD 2010, 2011, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
  15. My SPAM filter caught the Black Friday sale promotions, unfortunately. Will there be any other holiday sales upcoming? Seems like every year I renew right before a sale comes along. <sigh>
