Duplicate Title Listings in Database
Antonio J. Schipani replied to Antonio J. Schipani's topic in Content and Corrections
Well just so you know, both the screen shots (that have different titles) are the SAME series of the SAME book. Just look at the issue numbers and the corresponding dates and creator info. It's pretty obvious. There are not 2 series of "Cradle of Filth" I will post more screenshots of duplicate series in the database as I discover them on this thread. thanks. -
I was told when I find titles listed multiple times, to start reporting them on here so you guys can look into it, and merge them as necessary. Also, since I have found several of these, should I make a new thread for each one? Or just add a post to this one? Well let's start with Cradle of Filth I found it listed as CRADLE OF FILTH and also under CRADLE OF FILTH : MALEDICTUS ATHENAEUM both are the same series. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work. Love your product.

Can't download update 9/23/22
Antonio J. Schipani replied to Antonio J. Schipani's topic in Tech Support
OK my fellow comic book addicts, if you have this "illegal characters in path" issue, heres what I did: I have Onenote (which I hate) on my PC, and my PC was saving Databases/backups in and out of Onenote. I moved them all to the same Onenote file, regrettably, because I'd rather just not use Onenote at all. Then I downloaded ComicBase 2023 Version And then I was able to update. Best of luck, Heroes! -

Yep, Scott, same issues for me. Says "Illegal Characters in path" every time I try to update. And If I hit "continue" the cursor just spins and spins and never does anything, even after I let the screen sit for hours. I have even selected new Databases to use as primary, and the same thing occurs. I guess I will just have to call the 408-266-6883 technical help line, I don't have any other way at this point O_o Frustrating π -

I am using whatever the most updated version is prior to this new update. I update every time one becomes available. I just selected a "backup" file as my database, tried to update, and got the same error about "Illegal characters in path" -

I am using whatever the most updated version is prior to this new update. I update every time one becomes available. I will try using a backup database and then re-trying to update, thanks Now I do see this : "************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled." but I can't find a file called .config in order to try to "debug" my files -
Every time I try to download the update I get this. restarted the program several times, only to get the same results π Can ya help? Well, I took my first longbox I did on the Avery sheets and already stored it, so I can't photo it. The comic title was simply printing directly across the upper perforation line of each sticker on the Avery 5160 sticker sheet. So, I decided to simply use a paper cutter and slice off the top 1/8" of each sheet of Avery 5160 stickers, and now it prints 1/8" lower. I guess that was my home made solution π€£ -
