DC has pushed out some cancellations. The following should be deleted from the database:
• Trial of the Amazons Book #1 (trade paperback) has been cancelled, apparently no plans to resolicit. (Keep the hardcover version in the database, that has already been published.)
• Hardware: Season One Book #1 (trade paperback) has been cancelled, apparently no plans to resolicit. (Keep the hardcover version in the database, that has already been published.)
• Foil-enhanced versions of Batman #404 facsimile edition, Batman #405 facsimile edition, Batman #406 facsimile edition, and Batman #407 facsimile edition have all been cancelled, but the non-foil versions of these will still be coming out. I'm not seeing any of these in teh database right now, so not sure if anything needs to be done on these or not.

@Andre JCC Bouchard To simplify things, would you be opposed to one of the moderators editing your earlier posts to remove older torrent links? My suggestion is that it might make sense to have only one working torrent download in the thread. Unless you (or others on the board) think that there is some utility in keeping the older torrent files around.
[I'm also assuming that you can't go in and edit your own old posts... if non-moderators have no time limit for moderating their own posts, then obviously you can do this on your own.]Thoughts?

The other exception is the Spider-Woman Pocket Book as that is in the database as Spider-Woman (Book). I'm sure it has been in the database for some time, there may be some (justifiable) hesitancy to change that title to make it look more like the others of its type. But the "Stan Lee Presents The Fantastic Four" was added so recently that we should be able to avoid it being an outlier.

The most recent content update changed Resident Alien: The Book of Love Book #7 to Resident Alien: The Book of Love #7.
What should have been done was change that issue to Resident Alien: The Book of Love Book #1.

This week's update added the comic title Stan Lee Presents the Incredible Hulk. That is a duplication of the title Incredible Hulk, The (Pocket Books) that has been present in the database for some time. The new title should be deleted.
While researching the above, I noticed that the database also includes Stan Lee Presents the Fantastic Four. I was pretty sure that this title was already in the database as Fantastic Four, The (Pocket Books), but maybe I am misremembering. (There is a UK title Fantastic Four Pocket Book, but that isn't what I am thinking of.) Since the late 70's U.S. Pocket Books series titles
allmostly follow the pattern of [name of superhero/team] (Pocket Books) it might be worth considering changing Stan Lee Presents the Fantastic Four to Fantastic Four, The (Pocket Books). Just a thought.

The tpb for the Resident Alien: The Book of Love series is listed in the database as Book #7. True, it is the seventh Resident Alien trade paperback in the series and it has a number 7 on the spine. But all of the other Resident Alien trade paperbacks are listed under their respective series as Book #1, so it would probably be appropriate to handle this particular book the same way, yes?

Although it is listed in the database, I don't believe that any issues of The Last Knight of St. Hagan were ever published. I think that this was cancelled after the most recent Scott Allie blow-up from a few years back. This title should be removed from the database.

The title All New Exiles vs. X-Men lists three issues: #0, #0/A, and #0/Gold.
What is supposed to be the difference between #0/A and #0/Gold?
• #0/A is supposed to be signed and have gold foil, but there is no scan.
• #0/Gold has a scan that shows a cover with gold foil and signatures, but the entry includes no information about how to distinguish it from #0/A. -
I would advise against putting an issue number in the title. A few years ago Marvel put out Marvel Comics #1000 and then followed up with a sequel Marvel Comics #1001.
Murphy’s Law says that if you create a title Marvel Age 1000, there will be a follow-up Marvel Age #1001 or #2000 or #2099 or something. If you don’t put the issue number in the new title today then there is less of an opportunity for facepalming tomorrow. 🙂-

Marvel Age (the first series; the one-off Marvel Age #1000 might get listed elsewhere as per another thread on these boards) got moved to the Magazines category. This means that if you updated your database at some point, the comic title would be deleted EXCEPT for the issues you had in stock at the time.
if you’ve allowed your database to update the info in the Magazines category, you should be able to find the current indexing for Marvel Age in ComicBase. But if you haven’t allowed that, then you’ll want to do so.

@Mark J. Castaneda will be the final
judge on this, but I would suggest that the database place Marvel Age #1000 under a new title such as Marvel Age (2nd series) under the Comics category. That way the older issues can stay where they are under Magazines but the new release can be under Comics. (Especially since #1000 here is a numbering stunt and not true legacy numbering)

Done. As with the MMW Amazing Spider-Man, I don't have the silver & black dustjacket for either the FF or X-Men volumes... so somebody else will need to provide the UPC and the scan.
FYI: After I submitted MMW:FF #1/E, I noticed that I had a typo in the Notes field. Instead of "ca. 2022" it should be "ca. 2023". All of the info for MMW:FF #1/D should be correct, just the #1/E had that error. Thanks!

The 8/30 weekly update added Marvel Masterworks: The Fantastic Four #1/HC (4th printing). This is the 2023 new edition (similar to the Marvel Masterworks: The Amazing Spider-Man 2023 edition that prompted my OP). To be consistent with the advice from @Mark J. Castaneda above, this new entry should be deleted and be replaced by the following two new entries under this title:
• issue #1 variation D (for the silver & black dustjacket edition)
• issue #1 variation E (for the marble dustjacket edition)

Valiant Comics' troubles are pronounced enough that Diamond has cancelled all orders for Ninjak Superkillers issues 1 and 2. Looks like that title should be deleted from the database.
The database lists all six issues of X-O Manowar Unconquered but my understanding is that issues 4 through 6 never came out. Unless somebody has evidence that they actually were published, those issues should also be deleted from the database.

The Power of Shazam publications from DC need some clean-up. This is a list of what DC has published of the title:
• Original graphic novel in 1994: hardcover and tpb. These are listed as Book #1, Book #1 (2nd print), and Book #1/HC under the Power of Shazam title.
• Follow-up ongoing periodical series: This series was a follow-up to the ogn and is listed in the database as Power of Shazam. So far, so good.
Relatively recently, there have been a couple of reprint collections of the Power of Shazam.
• A 2020 hardcover that collects the ogn and issues #1-12 of the ongoing series. This is listed in the database as The Power of Shazam: In the Beginning #1/HC. At the time, that made some sense because that matches the trade dress. The indicia says The Power of Shazam! Book One: In the Beginning.
• DC originally planned to put out a volume 2 in hardcover format. That got listed in the database as The Power of Shazam: In the Beginninghttps://atomicavenue.com/atomic/TitleDetail.aspx?TitleID=66374&M=1 #2/HC. That hardcover got cancelled so it needs to be removed from the database.
• DC did eventually come out with a follow-up volume in 2023, but it is a trade paperback. It is listed in the database as The Power of Shazam: In the Beginning Book #2. However, the trade dress and the indicia for that book are The Power of Shazam! Book Two: The Worm Turns.The 2020 and 2023 collections can't easily go under the original Power of Shazam ongoing title because the ogn is taking up the Book #1 slot. So it makes sense for the recent collections to get their own title. But that title shouldn't include "In the Beginning" b/c that is only associated with the first volume of the series.
My suggestion is the following:
1. A new title Power of Shazam!, The (2nd series) should be created. [note the punctuation]
2. Move the info for The Power of Shazam: In the Beginning #1/HC and Book #2 to the new title. [Don't move #2/HC, it doesn't exist]
3. Delete The Power of Shazam: In the Beginning title. -

However, although the title has a working page on Atomic Avenue, trying to navigate to that page from the AA search bar brings the user to an error page. Mark, any chance that bug can get squashed?

That entire title (located here on Atomic Avenue) was moved to magazines some time ago. You should update your inventory, but I'm not sure that there are any corrections that need to be submitted for that title.

In looking at your list:
• Not sure what Classic X-Men #11/A is and how it differs from Classic X-Men #11. Similar comment for X-Men (1st series) #111/A.
• I'm guessing that what you have listed as Tales of the Teen Titans Anl #2 & Anl #3 are actually New Teen Titans (1st series) Anl #2 & Anl #3

A hardcover version of the book Color of Her Panties (William Morrow) was added in this update, with the cover price listed as $213.00. That sounds like an unusual price point for a book, can you verify that is the cover price rather than the current value for that item?
The comic title Bunsen Beaver and HIs Pal Tree was added. Note that "HIs" contains two capital letters. Is that how it is presented in the indicia or should that be corrected?
The comic title Die Antwoord: F*ck Everyone* was added. I forget, so please remind me: is it CB policy to asterisk F-bombs that show up in comic titles? (I assume that the indicia uses the full word since that is how it is presented on the cover.)
Also, does that second asterisk belong there? (It is on the cover of the 2nd printing but not on the cover of the 1st printing).The comic title Tolkien: Lighting Up the Darkness was added. Is this a comic or a book?

Yes, it should be its own title, I agree.
In terms of issue number:
How are the other Artist Edition books handled? Are they listed as regular issue numbers or as HC? Sometimes these books get paperback editions and so far those have all been labeled as Artisan Editions and tennis get a separate title. But if that ever changes and the tpb’s start keeping the Artist’s Edition title, it will be a little bit of a mess if the original hardcovers have already claimed the regular #1 issue under the title.

PS Artbooks has been reprinting Charlton's Strange Suspense Stories as a series of hardcovers. The database has cataloged all of them under the title Pre-Code Classics: Strange Suspense Stories. However, the indicia for this series has changed a couple of times to reflect (1) the brief period of time where Strange Suspense Stories [see also here] was actually titled This Is Suspense [see also here and here] and (2) the introduction of the Comics Code Authority seal partway through the run of the series.
• The indicia for Bk #1/HC (and the corresponding DLX version) matches the indicia as presented in ComicBase.
• The indicia for Bk #2/HC is actually Pre-Code Classics: This Is Suspense & Strange Suspense Stories volume 2.
• The indicia for Bk #3/HC matches the indicia as presented in ComicBase (even though the cover of the book says Silver Age Classics: Strange Suspense Stories volume 3).
• The indicia (and the covers) for Bk #4/HC and all following issues (including their corresponding DLX versions) is actually Silver Age Classics: Strange Suspense Stories volume 4 (and up).
I don't know how you want to handle this, there are pros and cons no matter what you do. It is also worth noting that the series began in 2016, so some of these issues have been in the database for some time. One possibility is to keep everything where it is but to make use of the "Item Title" field. Thoughts?

Eternal Warrior Classic Omnibus -- which was solicited last year, I think -- has been cancelled by the publisher. I'm not finding it in the database, but if it is in there somewhere then it should be removed.
