  1. According to a video I found, one cover is out of place. The War of the Realm #6/B (with Captain Marvel) down to the last lower right 'box'. This creates the illusion of a tree. The bottom 3 being the roots, the single one above the trunk and the 6 at the top being the branches/leaves.
  2. Both the cover and title page have 'Gris Grimly's Tales from the Brothers Grimm' to make the CB Title 'Tales from the Brothers Grimm (Gris Grimly's)' 'Tales from the Brothers Grimm (Gris Grimly's...)'
  3. A little background. I just noticed that some of the series had titles like 'How to Draw and Fight Zombies Supersize (Antarctic Press Presents…)'. While researching why they had that parenthetical description, I found most all of the 'How to...' from Antarctic Press had actual titles (both in the indicia and some on the cover) of 'Antarctic Press Presents: How to...' . Pointed them out to Mark and they were changed. I didn't notice the one being in Comic Books. I agree it should probably be moved to Books.

  5. You can just select the cell ( s ) of those columns and use CTRL+C to copy that information.
  6. Using Excel 2013, the instructions don't match exactly. What I can follow got a connection and the data imported. After that, refresh / recalculate does nothing and there are a lot of broken links. Hopefully, someone with a new version can get this to work.
  7. Not really. If what you want to find has something common among all rows at the end, you could try to replace it with itself and the extra. For example, if all the Notes had 'abc efg', you could find ' efg' and replace it with ' efg; xyz' (but the chance of all of the notes having the same text at the end with nothing else after it, is not very good). You could do a Find (regular or advanced), select and copy out the data in the column you want to change, paste to Excel, make the changes, the copy paste it back into CB. Or use export / make changes / import.
  8. Sorry. Been busy doing other things. I will try to get to in very soon.
  9. I have found photos of the actual covers. You are correct. They should both be cropped to remove the top and bottom part, just leaving the image.
  10. Since you asked... There are 52 creators has a credit in the WAILECaCoCi credits of a single issue (in 61 different titles): Adam Hughes Al Hartley Al Wiesner Alan James Hanley Alan M. Baker Anthony Sica Ben Seto Bob Burden Budd Root Chris Levy Dustin Craig Fred Hembeck Fred Perry Gene Fawcette Gilbert Shelton Henry Kujawa Holly Golightly Jake Roth Jason Asala Jason Waltrip Jay Hosler Jeff Smith Jerry Ordway Joe Kubert John Patrick Green Jonathan David Moreno Jorge Medina Joseph Michael Linsner Josh Sheppard Joshua Warner Karl Stephan Kenneth Smith Kyle Baker Mark Crilley Mark Hartman Mark Murphy Mark Smylie Matt Kindt Meg Golding Nathan M. Rosario Ralph Cosentino Rod Espinosa Roger Langridge Ruben Bolling Shade Shane Milner Stan Lynde Stephen Blue Stephen R. Bissette Ted Nomura Terry Moore William Edward Gordon Johnson
  11. Ah... got it. To answer your question, my guess is it would probably be a self published comic (the one-man/woman type of set up where they would have to do everything).
  12. Oh, also, unlike the Find changes, you can't submit the changes you make with Find/Replace. You can do a Find then Mark the issues that you find before you use the Find and Replace to find and submit them afterwards.
  13. And the ComicBase version? And WAILECaCoCi ?
  14. Menu item Edit-Find and Replace (or CTRL+H) will allow you to search and/or replace in either one of many (text?) columns, or, if you like to live dangerously (and have a backup...), you Find and/or Replace in ALL the columns at once (but you will NOT get a preview before the change (hence, the 'live dangerously)). This will do single items in a multi-item field (ex. any of the creator fields, Appearances, Storylines, etc.)
  15. Uh, no, the staple is just on the right side instead of the left and the front cover is what you would see if laid down with the staples on the right.
  16. I am following the information correctly, for certain covers to be ordered, they must be 'unlocked' by first ordering a certain number or percentage of another cover or issue (or whatever parameter the publisher decides to 'unlock' the ability to order).
  17. If you are referring to indicia being in all upper-case for some/most comics, this is not used (all upper-case) in title names by anyone.
  18. Sorry. A mis-statement I started to type, then change my thought but forgot to re-read/remove the mis-statement...
  19. If 9/D is rotated, then 9/E should be, too.
  20. Covers are displayed as the comic would be held when being read. They are not rotated just they may look better that way. At least that used to be the process. I was going to use the 'Sins of Youth' books as an example, however, all but one has been rotated on it's side to 'look better' (Sins of Your: JLA, Jr. being the only 'correct' one). I wonder if HC has changed their policy or if they 'got through' the submit process.
  21. I wouldn't consider them connecting covers but several sites seems to do so. As you pointed out, only D and E have any image crossover and the others that could have (A, left side of D and F) don't have any cross over. I would consider these more a set of similar covers (sort of like the 'Face' covers Marvel and DC did several years ago) where each issue was done in the same style (some border, main character head shot, etc) then a true '*ptych' cover.
  22. Recently, cover scans that include the back cover of non-wraparound covers have been allowed (or at least not rejected) because they can supply useful information for identification (especially variant covers which are only identified there). This particular cover is too small to read anything so I can't say if it does have that information or not (but the UPC may be considered useful). I will let HC make the final decision, however.
