Andrew d’Entremont Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 I entered a batch of dollar bin comics I purchased using the "Add by Barcode" feature this morning and adjusted the purchase price and and condition while entering them. When I went back and checked my inventory it had created duplicates. I can understand why this would happen if I already had the same issues in stock in a different condition, but I didn't own any of the issues I entered. I've experienced this before when the issue I entered had "wanted" ticked off, but this time it was happening with comics where this wasn't the case. See example below: Is there any reason why the system wouldn't simply make a change to the the Near Mint copy with 0 issues? Thanks.
Fred Slota Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 Because that's not how the database thinks about items. Different grades are different items.
William Steel Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 You may want to wait until after adding them to change their condition. I have the box "display after saving" checked so I can make changes to any fields then.
