  1. I didn't submit the original listing. Looks to me like the Simpsons Comics: Unchained book should become Simpsons Comics Book #16.
  2. This week's update added the Book title Silver Age of DC, The. This is a duplicate of the correctly indexed Silver Age of DC Comics, The. The new title should be deleted. Also added were the new Book titles Twilight Zone Companion and Twilight Zone Companion, The. These look like the same thing. There is a similar problem for the two new Book titles Worst TV Shows Ever and Worst TV Shows Ever, The.
  3. @Don Veach If you are using any kind of antivirus or security software other than what is native to your operating system, you might need to go into that software's settings to specifically whitelist your torrent client. (I had to do this with Norton after I installed that on my Mac, for instance) I am also assuming that you are trying this on your home network. Something to be aware of is that workplace networks can be different from home networks. If you are trying this at your workplace, it is possible that their IT has decided to block all torrenting traffic.
  4. Note that some torrent clients don't allow a firewalled seeder to pass data to a firewalled downloader. I just tried to download using BiglyBT and I am seeing two seeds (it took a couple of minutes for them to pop up) and eleven peers. My download is working as I type this. @Don Veach Any luck downloading since your last post in this thread?
  5. A little late (I was delayed by my latest "super-secret mission", as Pete would call it), but here are my corrections for last week's content update: The book title conan the Swordsman was added. Note the lack of capital letter at the start of the title. Also added was the comic title Simpsons Comics: Unchained. Is there a particular reason that this book isn't included under the Simpsons Comics title with other collections of issues from that series?
  6. The database includes the titles Escape from Alcatraz and Escape from Alcatraz Comic Series. These series are duplicates of each other. Based on the indicia, the correct title is Escape from Alcatraz Comic Series. In the database, EfACS contains only issue #2, but EfA contains issues #1 through 9. Issues #1 and #3-#9 of EfA should be transferred to EfACS and then the EfA title should be deleted. BTW there is an issue #10 of EfACS that isn't in the database, at some point I will get that submitted (won't be for a while, I'm backlogged with more urgent tasks for the next couple of weeks).
  7. This week's update added a new magazine title Best of the Mighty Marvel Backlist. There is a comic book title with that same name (slightly different capitalization), and I suspect the comic title should be deleted as it is almost certainly duplicative. Also, under the list of New Magazines that were added, an item called best of the mighty marvel backlist #1 was added. Note the complete lack of capital letters. I'm not sure what is going on under the hood there, but thought I would point it out.
  8. This week's update added the Comic title Jacin andthe Olympians. There should be a space between and and the, yes? Also added was the new Comic title The Making of Assassin’s Creed: 15th Anniversary Edition. Based on the title description, this sounds like it really belongs in the Book category. The database now includes the following three Comic titles: • Spider-Man 2 (Custom Sony Interactive Entertainment 2023) • Custom Sony Interactive Entertainment 2023 English Print Comic (Marvel) • Custom Sony Interactive Entertainment 2023 English Print Comic At least two of these look like they are the same thing, I am suspicious that all three of them are the same thing.
  9. For the comic title The Lonely War of Willy Schultz, the currency listed in the database is CAD. Ordinarily, that would make sense since the publisher Avalon was based in Canada. However, the cover price for each of the issues explicitly states "$2.95 US" so the currency should be changed from CAD to USD. I haven't checked whether this is also true for other Avalon issues, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true for at least some of them.
  10. I recommend contacting CB support via email for telephone. They are probably in the best position to take a look at your account and help you out.
  11. Lack of a UPC isn't necessarily an indicator that the newsstand and direct versions should be listed has separate variants. (Some direct sales issues of Kitty Pryde & Wolverine don't have a UPC, for instance.) However, if there is a difference in the printed cover prices, then there should definitely be separate entries for those issues.
  12. This week's update added the Comic Book title Fantomesuqe. Should that actually be listed as Fantomesque ? Also added was Incredible Hulk By Byrne and Casey Omnibus. Should that actually be listed as Incredible Hulk by Byrne and Casey Omnibus ?
  13. You mean "Silent Tales" right? (But yes, it looks like "DC Speechless" should be deleted)
  14. I think that the answer is generally not. They do pull from Heritage Auctions and from Atomic Avenue. However, if you see an item that is not priced accurately in the database, you can use the "check price" function in the database and point to sold eBay items as evidence that an adjustment is needed.
  15. This week's content update added the comic book title Mark Schultz: Carbon. This is a duplication of the book title of the same name. The #5 HC item under the book title should be moved to the comic book title and then the new comic book title should be deleted. Also added was the magazine title After Hours (Fantaco). The issue published under this title is actually a facsimile edition of the first issue of the After Hours magazine published by Warren (although the indicia states Jay Publications... I'm guessing that was a precursor or subsidiary of what would become Warren Publishing). I don't think it makes sense for facsimile editions to get their own title. I suggest the following: • Creation of the title After Hours (Jay) or After Hours (Warren) in the magazine category [If I had to pick, I would suggest the former over the latter] • Move the existing issue of After Hours (Fantaco) to the new After Hours title as issue #1 (2nd print) [and include a note that the issue was published by Fantaco] • Delete the After Hours (Fantaco) title
  16. To add a new item, create the issue in your database. If you have a scan of the item, add that to the appropriate image folder. Then proceed with the instructions at the link in your post. The mobile app isn't set up for submitting corrections or additions to Human Computing. It's really only intended to allow users to see what issues are included in the master database and to see which of those items are in stock in your database(s).
  17. Orders for the Time^2 Omnibus have been cancelled by the publisher, so this title should be removed from the database. (I'm hoping that this gets resolicited, but I don't know one way or the other if that is the plan.)
  18. That's a good point... it could prevent future submissions undoing this correction and save the editorial team some trouble.
  19. Note that although Bill Mantlo is credited in Strange Tales (2nd series) #7 as the writer of the Cloak & Dagger story, it turns out that Peter Gillis wrote both stories in that issue ("Writer credit corrected in the letters page of issue #10.") Bill Mantlo's name should be removed from the writer credits of that issue.
  20. I think that the current editorial policy in general is to use A/B etc for variants now as much as possible for new publications, and to avoid the more specialized designations like DM that were created at a time when variants were much less common.
  21. This is still hanging around. The title Time 2: The Stisfaction of Black Mariah should be removed.
  22. For situations like this, it is always a good idea to see how items are cataloged in HC's master database, i.e., check to see how things are indexed on Atomic Avenue. (That doesn't solve the AST by LW & BW mystery, but for most cases it does help you see if HC is cataloging items in a way that differs from one's own personal database.)
  23. I have a copy of TPB 2 (I received it and HC 1 from the recent Zoop campaign), but I haven't had a chance yet to scan it or enter any of the info into my database for submission. I will try to get to that this week.
  24. One of last week's content updates added the title Dan Panosian: Urban Barbarian Collected Works. A couple of notes on this: • The indicia uses a dash rather than a colon. • The database lists a single item under this title, an unnumbered hardcover. Although it is true that the hardcover doesn't bear a volume number, there is also a "volume 2" for this title that is a trade paperback. So I am proposing that what is currently listed as "HC" under this title be changed to "HC 1" and that "TPB 2" be added.
  25. X-Factor by Peter David Omnibus #3/HC and #3-A have been cancelled. They'll be resolicited, but since details can change between now and the resolicit, it would be best to delete these listings from the database for now.
