Edit Item # by typing

Recommended Posts

In previous editions of Comicbase, I could click on the Item # and begin typing to edit the entry of what I wanted to designate the issue number as.

In ComicBase 2020, I've tried clicking on the item # and started typing. It didn't overwrite. I then tried double-clicking into the field but it didn't allow me to type in it that way either. How can I go about editing the issue # manually?

The best/safest way to change the Item # is to open the Issue edit window.

Double click on the far left box to open the window or select the issue by a single-click on the far left box, then a right-click and select Modify Issue from the pop-up menu.

Thanks. I figured that part out. I was hoping to regain the functionality that seems to have been lost from the previous edition of ComicBase. I used to be able to add items with previously unused designations without having to add them as variations.

Does anyone else know if there's a way to do what I've asked in my original post?

Mark, can you suggest this as a feature request, then? I'm just hoping to regain some of the capabilities that have been lost to me by updating to 2020.

if you have the time, workup an email to support@comicbase.com with the things you'd like to have worked into the software and I'll forward those suggestions up to the programming team
