Chris McDonald Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 The press release for Vampirella #666 reads: To celebrate the start of Vampirella's sixth decade in comics, CHRISTOPHER PRIEST and ERGUN GUNDUZ continue their legendary run on the series with a mind-bending new story that launches with the landmark issue #666 - restoring the legacy numbering for the title that will continue going forward, reflecting all of Vampi's previous appearances in print. The road to #700 starts here! The issue is currently listed under the 3rd Series (2010-2014) which seems arbitrary to me. I believe this issue (and the subsequent) should be collected under the title Vampirella (8th Series) to reflect this new direction by Dynamite. Thoughts?
Gregory Hecht Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 The convention that ComicBase has adopted is that returns to the numbering of an earlier series get those issues filed under the older title. That's not what I would have chosen to do, but that is what the folks at ComicBase have decided to do.
Mark J. Castaneda Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 This one was a tough call. The publisher isn't clear if the previous 2 Harris series has to do with their numbering approach; so we started at the first series published by Dynamite that being Vampirella (3rd Series).
