New build 22.0.0.1430 now out that should address the problem. Just download the revised CB2022 program installer from your online account here to get it: https://www.comicbase.com/mycb/Registrations.aspx
-
Just to confirm, the problem occurs with the CB2022 (build 22.0.0.1425)? Also, you have tried resetting your preferences (Setup Menu>Preferences)? Does this help after resetting and restarting the software? If the problem still happens, give Pete our lead programmer a call directly at 408-266-6883 ext 403 - the problem may be unique to your computer that he'll need to look into with you.

I'll mention your observations to our programming team to look into. thanks guys for noticing

Color Overflow in Simplistic Theme
Mark J. Castaneda replied to Dylan Colborne's topic in Tech Support
With CB2022, a lot of the theme settings got a bit of backend tweaking compared to previous versions of CB. If you have previous versions of CB themes installed, the new CB 2022 maybe using those. Consider uninstalling your ComicBase 2022 edition AND ALSO your ComicBase Resources file from your Windows App list; afterwards install CB2022 again and see if that helps. -

We don't accept Signed items into our master without a COA. However, you're more than welcome to track it in your personal database. -
Conan The Barbarian 92/A
Mark J. Castaneda replied to Scott J. Brown's topic in Content and Corrections
it says #92 on the cover image you provided. Did you mean to say this is for #93? Please use the 'Submit New or Corrected Data' option in the software to send in any Whitman editions that need to be added in. If you can provide the covers too that would be helpful to our editorial team to confirm they exist. -
is the resolution you have set the 'recommended' setting? Curious if you adjust it - does the window display properly as a result.

Larger Cover Images Being Replaced by Smaller Ones
Mark J. Castaneda replied to Andrew d’Entremont's topic in Tech Support
Any cover that gets submitted by users will require our editorial team to review them to be officially added to our master database. The turnaround time is usually a week if there's no issue with them. With that said, you may be downloading the cover(s) too soon - Our Ed. team may not have addressed newer submitted higher res versions yet and you end downloading an older/low res version. -
odd, does you the window auto-correct if you move it around and/or maximize/minimize it? Are your video drivers up-to-date? Do you know the display resolution for your screen? Wondering if its low; feel free to screenshot if you can so we have an idea what you got set.

Another screensaver suggestion
Mark J. Castaneda replied to Michael Groetz's topic in Feature Suggestions
Setup Menu>ComicBase Preferences>make sure you have 'Automatically download larger pictures when viewing items' set. As you use the software/screensaver over time, higher res images will get downloaded and be shown. Alternatively, if you want all the pictures to be at their best quality now, just download all the picture files for the edition you have from your registrations page: https://www.comicbase.com/mycb/Registrations.aspx *be sure to set the download links page to 'other' to see all the picture download links -

Includes COA? -
more info from our programing team on this one... If you're set to "owned items' and use the nav arrows to go past your last owned title OR before your first owned title, you'll go to a random title. This is the intended behavior. The reason is that the alternative is to bark at you and let you know you have no next/previous owned titles, and suggest you change your view settings--this is considered worse than the alternative.

The Strange Death of Alex Raymond

thanks for the extra info, we'll use it to add to the item descriptions. Does the Signed Edition include a COA? Signed by Sim and Graubaugh OR just 1 of the creators? -
Go into your Sidekick settings General Tab. Review the database(s) you have listed. Make sure the db(s) you mainly use is listed. *We think you might another db you don't use in the list; select and hit the 'minus' button to remove it from the list. See if Sidekick messages you afterwards.

We'll be doing some maintenance for the next few hours to fix the problem, particularly rebuilding our picture libraries on our server which will take hrs to complete. Try downloading tomorrow morning and see if things improve.

thanks for trying. we'll look further into the trouble.

Pete tried this, it may work for you... 1) go into File Menu>File Tools>Manage Pictures and Movies 2) take note of the current picture path for where your pictures draw from 3) set a new picture path (this will clear your pic references). 4) set the picture path back to what was noted in step 2 5) download a cover that was being problematic - seemed to work for us. Also tried this... 1) deleted the problematic image (if you were trying to download a higher-res version). 2) go to a different title then returned back to it (which zeros out the pic reference since there's no image anymore) 3) download cover - that worked too for us. Can anyone reproduce this problem after switching to a different folder/zeroing out their pictures, then switching it back to the regular place and attempting the download with the now-zeroed picture references?

i'll let Pete know as well.
