  1. The book "She Changed Comics: The Untold Story of the Women Who Changed Free Expression in Comics" is currently sitting in Comic Books; it should be moved to Books. r/ MikeW
  2. It lists each book by its title with "(Wheaties Miniature Edition)" appended to the title. https://www.comics.org/series/name/wheaties miniature/sort/alpha/
  3. Trying to clean up my unrecognized titles... CB has created a title called "Fawcett Miniatures" and populated it with the miniature-size giveaways that were taped to Wheaties boxes, regardless of the title of the book. I'm contemplating moving my Captain Marvel Adventures to this title, but there's no issue number to assign, and I don't have the foggiest clue as to how you want these numbered (the title currently has issues numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, and 11). These miniatures didn't carry issue numbers. Help would be appreciated. r/ Mike
  4. I'm trying to find this series in the database and am beginning to think it's not in there. It's an italian edition. According to the Grand Comics Database, it ran for 77 issues between 1967-1970 w/ issue numbers 575-651. I have some issues and would like to upload covers, storylines, etc. Has anyone heard of this series, or perhaps knows within which Superman title it's hiding? r/ Mike
  5. Update: A system restart fixed the problem - though I don't know what caused the problem in the first place.
  6. This is the Bell, Book & Comic store variant. There are two versions of this variant cover; I have both to add, but am not sure about the issue numbering. The trade press cover was a print run of 3,000 copies; the virgin cover was a print run of only 1,000 copies. Since the master db currently goes to issue 1/K, I figure I'll add 1/L and 1/M. Yes? r/ Mike
  7. For some reason unknown to me, I'm unable to check for updates. When I select this command from the drop-down menu, nothing happens until I repeat the action. Then, a dialog box opens and requests my Comicbase account username/password. Unfortunately, the combination isn't recognized when I enter it. Any thoughts? Ideas? r/ Mike
  8. I think this hardcover book should be moved from Comic Books to Books. Granted, there are a few comic panels reprinted here and there throughout the book, but it's at least 95% original text about the creation of WW, with the panel reprints being used to enhance the text. r/ Mike
  9. Same as with Generations Shattered, this title should not have a colon in it.
  10. This DC one-shot w/ cover date March 2021 is titled "Generations Shattered" on its cover and also in the indicia. Based on this, I recommend the colon be removed from the title as listed in the database. r/ Mike
  11. The database has a hardcover copy; this was also published as a softcover edition. Unfortunately, there is no "softcover" entry in the Binding Type category, so I'm wondering how to enter the softcover version.
  12. Today (2/20/2021) I found my signed copy w/ the three autographs. It's not a Dynamic Forces variant. The back of the sealed bag says Beckett & Associates, 675 E. Big Beaver Rd, Troy MI 48083. $4.99 is stamped on the front of the bag. The barcode stamped on the bag is 728192951008. It has the die-cut cover overlay with Batman swinging on the rope; the three autographs are on the half-cover. I think this is a variant distinct from the other variants listed in the master db list.
  13. Just FYI - I'm also not on Facebook. This forum is just about the extent of my online social media participation.
  14. Brian, your description sounds very much like mine; I also use an SSD, and the situation hasn't changed, despite optimizing my computer as Mark described. My gut tells me it's related to the 2020 version, but the delay didn't start immediately upon converting to the 2020 version.
  15. Craig, I find the same situation you describe, re: a corrected error still showing up in the search list, but yielding negative results if I search on it after I've made the correction(s). Rebuilding the list to update the index as Steven recommended fixes that, at least, it always has for me - until the error recurs in the master database and gets downloaded into my database.
  16. Had a pleasant conversation with Pete, and he found the problem and wrote a solution. I rebuilt my pictures list and have tried a half dozen issues, all successful wrt letting me download the cover in the CB database. Thanks! Mike
  17. Hercules Unchained, that is! Besides showing up in its proper place, this issue is also in the database under the series title "Hercules Unchained" with only one issue to the run, issue #1121. The latter record should be removed. r/ Mike
  18. Yep, good question. I'm also wondering if the reset will return the columns to their default order from the rearranged order I use, along with having adjusted some column widths, renaming some custom fields, colors, etc. r/ Mike
  19. I updated my software to the new release this morning. Aside from a small cosmetic change in the color of the background, it seems to be operating properly. However, when I entered ctrl <T> to bring up the title list, the dialog box appeared left of center on the screen, far enough left of center that I dragged it back to where my eyes are used to going. Every time I open the title list, it opens far left of center; I can't find a way to get it to open where I want it (centered on the screen). Is this a locked accompanying feature of the new version, or is there some way I can reset a preference so that the dialog box will open where I want it? r/ Mike
