The only thing I will add, is if you try to sell on AA, the custom grades will be changed to official ones (not sure of the exact mechanism).

CB has: Standard Grades of MT, NM, VF, etc (none of which have a 9.x grading) CGC : 10.0, 9.9, 9.8, 9.6, etc. CBCS: 10.0, 9.9, 9.8, 9.6, etc. EGS : 10.0, 9.9, 9.8, 9.6, etc. PGX : 10.0, 9.9, 9.8, 9.6, etc. What are you looking for or where are you not seeing what you expect?

I think you mean 1/J and 1/K. (or at those issues appear to be duplicates in my database and AA) Also, for this issue, one note has 'limited to 2000', one has 'limited to 1000' but I am only finding mention of 'limited to 3000'.

I don't think you can. The database is locked down. The best you can do is export data and put it in a spreadsheet (if Crystal Reports works with spreadsheets) or another database.

Scott. Not sure what corrections to the Title information you were trying to submit. If it was to the actual Title name or (I believe) the Publisher, those would come across as a New title and not a correction to an existing Title (which may have problems being accepted at best or cause duplication at worse).

Yes, you can uninstall the CB2021 Resources. That is weird that the CB screen saver works but won't auto-start after the set time.

What happens when you go to the Windows/SysWOW64 folder and double click on ComicBase Cover Gallery.scr? When I do, it starts the screen saver immediately. If it still doesn't work, you could try to Uninstall/Install CB (Not sure if you need to uninstall the CB Resources file or not. (I don't think the screen saver is a available as a separate install item). Note Uninstalling CB does not affect your database or Picture/media files. If you delete the Resources, it may affect some settings (not sure).

1) I just tried the screen saver with 1 minute and 5 minute delays. Both started after the appropriate time. 2) Not sure about the extra one. 3) Appears to be located on C drive in Windows/SysWOW64. For 1, have you run other screen savers successfully? (I assume so, but just checking). Edward is correct. Back Issues in listed under Type Magazines. When CB moves a Title to a different type (or even Renames a Title), it won't delete any Issues you own. and if you have any owned issues, the Title won't be deleted. If you only have a few issues to deal with, it is easiest to just copy the information over then delete the Issues from the incorrect (or set qty in stock to 0 and let the next update delete them). If you have a lot of issue, you can delete those issues (or all the issues) from where you are going to move them to (in this case, the Magazine Title). Then (when displaying the Comic Books Title Back Issue, use Edit->Change Title Media Type to change it to Magazines. Once they are in Magazines, you can wait for the next Update to add all the other issues back into your database or force CB to re-run the last update by holding the SHIFT key down while selecting Check for Updates.

What Edition do you have (Express, Pro, or Archive)? If you have Pro or Archive, did you either copy the pictures folder to your new computer or download the picture files and install them? For downloading, there are two options. A) The quick start picture file. This is a small file that just has thumbnail size covers (except some #1 issues are full size). When installed, when you click on a cover scan to view the full size, CB will connect to the HC servers and download that full size cover. B) Full picture files (consisting of multiple files). Once downloaded and installed, you have the full size covers available for that Edition (don't have to access the HC servers to get larger files when used).

There isn't a flag. The list is generated by comparing the content update data that is downloaded (and not kept anywhere as far as I know) and the rows in your database. If you have something that is not in the content update, the information is added to the Unknown Items report. Now that I typed that, try checking on your C drive in Users/<login-id>/Documents/Human Computing/<your-cb-edition>/Log Files and see if you have a file 'ComicBase Database.cbdb Unknown Items 28-Jul-2022 01-07.htm' (the date would be the date of the update). The update process may have created this file but the link to it may not work for some unknown reason.

First I would try: File Tools: Optimize database. and/or File Tools: Rebuild Lists (all but the last one). If you still have the problem then you can try this: (This process takes a LOT of explaining but is really not that hard to do and doesn't take much time) NOTE: For the following to work you can't have 'duplicate' issues with different conditions (i.e. #1 NM and #1 FN). If you do have duplicates The Title process will still work but the Issue process will be less possible. Title comparison: 1) Create a New database (don't copy any information over). 2) Run the Update on this new database. 3) Run a Find on Title field TITLE Is Greater Than. Leave the text box empty. 4) Select all the Title names (just the one column). Do this by clicking in the first box, Go to the bottom, press and hold the SHIFT key while clicking on the last box (this should high light the entire column). NOTE: It wouldn't hurt to just select/hightlight everything but you don't need Publisher or Years Published). 5) Use CTRL+C to copy the information. 6) Open a spreadsheet and use CTRL+V to paste the information. Repeat the process for your real database. For step 6, you can paste into a new tab or a differnt spreadsheet. NOTE: Make sure both lists are sorted the same way. The first thing to check the the number of Titles in each list. A) If they are the same, then the unrecognized item probably isn't at the Title level. B) If they are not the same (logically the list from your actual database should be larger), you can tell if you have 1 or more Titles that are not recognized. If B) you need to do a binary search to find it/them. Go about halfway down the list in both lists. A) If the Title name on the same line number is the same in both lists, all the items above that point are identical. B) If the Title name is NOT the same in both lists, there is 1 (or more) extra Title names above that point. If A (both match) go about halfway DOWN between the current row and the last row then compare again. If B (they don't match) you can tell how many don't match above by how far by the differece in the line numbers. Go about halfway UP between the current row and the top and compare again. Repeat his process (either up or down depending on matching/not matching) and in a really short amount of time, you will find the extra Title. If there was only 1 extra Title, this should find it. If there were multiple extra titles, you may have to repeat the binary search (after removing the each extra Title as you find it) to find all of them (you should know how many by comparing the total number of rows in each list. Issue comparison: The issue process is similar to the Title process except #3-6 are different. 3) Export Title and Item # to a TAB separated file. 4) Import the file into a spreadsheet. (This would be done for both the New database and your original database. Then the Binary search process would be the same. Note: Even though there will be a LOT more rows with all the Issues, the binary search process won't take much longer than the Title search. Again, if you have duplicate issues, this process may not work well as the new database won't have these 'extra' rows and will make the binary search harder (if not impossible). PS if you have a database and know how to use it, you could import the data and run queries to find rows not in the other list.

Mark, I have tried and am not able to recreate the error. Joel, Try running the update again. You can do this by holding the SHIFT key down while selecting 'Check for Updates'. After it completes, if you still have the 'View Unrecognized Items' link, do you get the same error?
