  1. Have you checked in the Books view? This is where Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide is located. And I have Issue TPB 49/A in my database. As far as I can tell, AA can't display Books (or Magazines). The fact it is showing Overstreet (with errors) indicates there is, indeed, something wrong with its display in AA.
  2. Not sure. I have the Archive Edition v20.0.1.2966 and I just changed one of the Custom Check boxes and the name stayed. If you have an earlier version, you might try downloading the latest and trying again. If not, there might be something wrong with your preference and/or Settings files (permissions?).
  3. Since the Find results are now in a Grid format (instead of a separate window with CB 2017), the Print option doesn't exist. What you can do is high-light the grid column cells, and copy/paste the information somewhere else (Excel, Notepad, etc.) and then format (if needed) and print from there.
  4. You can use menu item Setup-Custom Fields to change the names.
  5. Rename 8-HC.jpg to 8.jpg From: Pictures\D\DC\B\Batman- The Dark Knight Archives Rename 1.jpg to 1-A.jpg 1-A.jpg to 1-B.jpg 1-B.jpg to 1-C.jpg 1-C.jpg to 1-D.jpg From: Pictures\L\Lightning\Hellina- Naked Desire
  6. I don't run reports much but the Collection report, Items Checklist and Price Lists all have the option to include any or all of the Custom columns on it.
  7. The option is on the window that opens when you do the weekly update. This is what the Archive edition looks like. Express may be a little different.
  8. You can use another column but it may be overwritten by an update. One possibility is the Notes column and then check the box to Lock Items Notes which won't allow the update to add to existing information. Not sure of you disk space, but my picture folder takes up 56.5 GB of space. I have the Archive Edition. The Professional Edition only have a tenth as many covers and would take up about 5 GB. That isn't really a lot of space but it depends on your computer drive and how much space you have. = = = = = = Not sure why or what you mean about not saving. It is either there or it isn't. The only thing that should delete anything is you or the update process (but only if you don't own an Issue (qty >= 1 for an Issue)). If you have a Title and you want to add an issue, click on the + of the + / - button in the lower right corner in the top part of the display. This will open a window with the next number issue. You can fill out / change what you like then click the Save button. If you need to add a new Title (or Issue), you can use CTRL + N, menu item Items->New Comic Books or Items->New->Comic Comic Book (or Book or Magazine). First it will ask for a Title (either a new Title or an existing Title), then it will go to the New Issue window.

  10. What Edition of ComicBase do you have? The Express Edition does not have Custom columns. The Professional Edition (and Higher) do have Custom columns (4 text, 2 date, and 3 check boxes)
  11. Oh, one more thing. The Conversion to CB 2020 only READS the CB 2017 database. It does not change it (just copies information into the CB 2020 database). So if something doesn't look right, you can try again.
  12. Yes, one of the CB 2017 databases (or backups). The most current would be the best. I believe the default database location is: C:\Users\(your-logon-id)\Documents\Human Computing\ComicBase Databases. It would be easiest if you unzipped and copied the CB 2017 Database (or backup) there.
  13. Gary, of your two issues, #1 may be possible depending on what you mean and how you want to use it. If you press and hold the Alt key when you exit CB, it will not make a backup. You just have to hold it long enough for CB to completely close. This doesn't change any settings and you have to do it each time you exit CB and don't want to make a backup.
  14. Delete or Move HC 1.jpg From: Pictures\I\Idea + Design Works\Marvel Masterworks Pin-Up To: Pictures\I\Idea + Design Works\Marvel Masterworks Pin-Ups Rename TBP.jpg to HC.jpg From: Pictures\D\DK\DC Comics Year by Year- A Visual Chronicle
  15. Are these posts to the new forum here or the old forum? If they are the old forum, they can be accessed using the Forum Archive tab at the top of the screen. There is also a new Atomic Avenue forum here: https://forums.atomicavenue.com/index.php?ct=1575578833
  16. If it helps, you can have CB 2017 and CB 2020 both installed at the same time. You can even run them at the same time. However, if you reinstall CB 2020, it will uninstall CB 2017.
  17. When you type the one letter, what is it and what shows up in the list?
  18. I don't. I couldn't find anything useful looking for Pizza Hut in the Titles or Notes. It is probably a strange / uncommon giveaway.
  19. For the first one, I can't seem to find it, either. It may not be in CB. I can find information about it at: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Marvel_Special_Edition_2:_The_Empire_Strikes_Back But none of my searches have found it.
  20. The Good News is that all the ones that Imported successfully have the Qty set to 1 (along with the other values in the file). So it works for me. One thing you might check is when you Import the Comma Delimited file, is that the Item Separator in the Bottom Right corner is set to COMMA and not TAB. The file could use a little clean up. Open in Notepad and Change ,,, (that is 3 commas) to nothing (leave the to value empty). This will remove the 3 commas at the end of each row that are not needed. Go to the last line and remove it if it is all commas. Of the Titles in your file, only 2 did not import successfully. Amazing Spider-Man All Detergent Giveaway,1,FN-VF,1,0.40,USD,1/1/1979,3.51 is NOT a separate Title. It is an Issue in Amazing Spider-Man Giveaways Item # 4. Change the row to: Amazing Spider-Man Giveaways,4,FN-VF,1,0.40,USD,1/1/1979,3.51 And it should import correctly. The other is Avengers Chronicles,1,FN +,1,1.50,USD,6/1/1982,1.50. The problem with this is it is is NOT in the Comic Books View. It is in Books. Unfortunately, you have to Import Books, Comic Books and Magazines individually. When doing this, make sure the drop-down box in the Top Left corner is set to the View you are importing to. Since this Title needs to go into Books, the Item # needs to be changed. There are 3 possible Issues. HC/LE, TPB/A, or TPB/B. Pick the one that matches your book (I am using TPB/A as an example. Also the Title is Avenger and NOT Avengers (no S on the end) and it has The in it. Since the new name is Avenger Chronicles, The (with a Comma in it) it needs to have " " around it. For this Title, put it in a different file and change it to: "Avenger Chronicles, The",TPB/A,FN +,1,1.50,USD,6/1/1982,1.50 PS: If you have any Magazines, they will also need to be in a separate file.
  21. First, you are correct. The CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv) is the correct option to create a Comma Delimited file. After that, just rename it from *.csv to *.txt so CB can find it. If you include a few lines of you file, I can see if there is anything obviously wrong with it.
  22. CB currently has Marvel Masterworks Pin-Up in Books. The actual title is Marvel Masterworks Pin-Ups (note S on the end).
  23. Delete or Move 1.jpg From: Pictures\D\Dark Horse\A\Aliens vs. Predator- Thicker Than Blood To: Pictures\D\Dark Horse\A\Alien vs. Predator- Thicker Than Blood Delete or Move 1.jpg From: Pictures\D\Dynamite\Army of Darkness- Conventino Invasion To: Pictures\D\Dynamite\Army of Darkness- Convention Invasion Delete or Move ALL (1.jpg - 3-A.jpg) From: Pictures\A\American Mythology\Moon Maid, The (Edgar Rice Burroughs'-) To: Pictures\A\American Mythology\Moon Maid, The- Catacombs of the Moon (Edgar Rice Burroughs'-) Rename 1-HC.jpg to HC.jpg From: Pictures\S\St. Martin's\Walking Dead, The- Rise of the Governor (Moved to Books) Rename 1-HC to HC.jpg From: Pictures\S\St. Martin's\Walking Dead, The- Road to Woodbury (Moved to Books) Rename 1-HC.jpg to HC.jpg From: Pictures\S\St. Martin's\Walking Dead, The- Descent (Moved to Books) Rename 1-SC.jpg to 1-A.jpg and 2-SC.jpg to 2-A.jpg From: Pictures\L\London Night\Razor- Torture
  24. I am not sure. For a Comma Separated data (instead of Tab Separated) The " " are needed for any Title that contains a Comma (so the process knows to ignore it). For example: "Avengers, The",2,Marvel The Import would only see the 2 comma's between Title, Item #, and Publisher. However, when I did a Tab Separated export, the Title showed up as: Avengers, The 2 Marvel Without the " " around the Title. It might be best to use Comma Separated Import if the data has " "
  25. If you just want a list of Titles, instead of exporting (which will have a lot of duplicates), you can use Find like this: Click on the Magnifying Glass icon next to the Find box at the top of the window. In the Find window, click on the Find drop-down box and select Title Fields->Title. In the condition drop-down box, select Is Not. In the input box, type a Space (press the space bar). When you click the Find button, you will get a list of all 58,000+ Titles (along with Publisher an Years Published). At this point you can select (high-light) all the Titles then Copy (CTRL+C) and Paste (CTRL+V) the information into a spreadsheet or Notepad. NOTE: You may need to use Menu item Setup->Preferences and set Rows to Display in Grid View to 100000 to get them all in one display. If not, you may have to copy/paste one display, advance to the next display, then copy/paste them until you have gone through all the displays.
