Gregory Hecht Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 I recently received a copy of the latest printing of Incredible Hulk Epic Collection vol. 1. The indicia in my copy states that it is "third edition, first printing". I am going to submit it as #1-C, reserving #1-B for "second edition" issues since I *assume* those exist. LMK if this isn't the proper way forward. BTW, the notes field for issue #1 of this series could use some clean-up as there is a lot of repeated information in there.

Feel free to cleanup the notes (remove any redundant info) for #1 too and send a submission for it.
Gregory Hecht Posted June 1 Author Posted June 1 OK, I just realized all of these months later that this fell off my radar screen. ? I cleaned up the Notes field for #1 and #1-2 and submitted from my database. While doing that, I noticed that an incomplete UPC was present for #1-2, so I cleared that field prior to submission. So that field should be cleared out inn the master database, and hopefully somebody with #1-2 can submit the correct complete UPC. I submitted #1-C (with scan) as we agreed above. [I am suspicious that #1-2 might actually be the presumed "2nd edition" but without a copy available to me, I cannot be sure. For now we will live without #1-B in the database, pending clarification from another user(s).]
Steven L. Dasinger Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Here is the information I can find on the 3 different Editions of Incredible Hulk Epic Collection #1 (Man or Monster?) Cover Date** Cover Price UPC Street Date ------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Jun 2016 34.99 978078519600653499 06/08/2016 2nd Jun 2021 39.99 978130292974953999 06/09/2021 3rd Sep 2024 44.99 978130296043854499 09/18/2024 Based on this information and what is in CB, I concur that 1-2 is actually the 2nd Edition (same UPC, Cover Price and Street Date). ** Cover Date is from MyComic Shop and may NOT be an actual cover Date. PS For most (if not all) UPC that start with 978 (bookland), the last 5 digits are '5' (for US) and the Price (as long as 99.99 or less). When you start getting 100.00 and up, then it can be a bit strange.

So for example omnibus books that are $100, $125, or $150 all get 9999 at the end of the UPC. (It is a little annoying when creating entries in CB for those books since CB autopopulates fields with $99.99 for those ISBNs, and you have to go and correct them with the correct cover price.)
