Stephen J. Weihman Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 I get the following error when trying to apply the latest update. This happens when applying when it asks on startup, or if I manually try to download the update from within CB.
Peter R. Bickford Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Sounds like you might have an incomplete download -- I'd go ahead and restart, try it again. (clearing items in your %tem% folder would also be good). Get in touch with support directly at support@comicbase.com if you continue to have trouble.
Kurt D. Koester Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 I'm having the same error message, and I closed the program, restarted it and tries again and received the same error. I'd try clearing the items in the folder you mentioned, but I don't know where that is. Is that the "Temp" folder? I don't know about the "%tem%" description - I'm not a programmer. 🙂
Mark J. Castaneda Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 Based off your screenshot, you got an older version of CB2021. Download/install the latest CB2021 installer (v20.0.2.1884) from your online account here: https://www.comicbase.com/mycb/Registrations.aspx See if you're able to launch the software after installation with no trouble. If the problem still happens, check if you have recently dated backup of your database you can load instead that's free of the problem and use it going forward. By default, backups are stored in Documents/Human Computing/ComicBase Databases folder. If you still have no luck, please contact our support team at support@comicbase.com OR 408-266-6883
