  1. PS If you have multiple Types (Books, Comic Books, Magazines, and/or Newspapers), you will need to do this for each Type.
  2. No. Mass Change doesn't have any filtering capability. But you can do this with Regular or Advanced Find. Advanced Find: I.[QtyInStock] >= 1 AND Price >= 5.00 Regular Find: Start a Find. In the Find drop-down box, select Item Fields->Price Change the drop down box to Is Greater Than or Equal To. In the input box, type 5.00 Make sure the List Only Items IN Stock is checked. For both: When you have the results, select all the rows (CTRL+A). Right-Click and select Quick Change from the pop-up menu. Change: For Sale To IS Checked.
  3. Here is one way: Use Find (regular or Advanced) and use 'For Sale' IS Checked. Once you have the results, use CTRL+A to select all. The Right-click and select Quick Report from the pop-up menu (or use F7). Notes: 1) If you want a different report, from the pop-up menu, select Report Selected Titles As, then the report you want to use. 2) If you have different Types (Books, Comic Books, Magazines, and/or Newspapers) for sale, you will need to do a Find for each Type separately.
  4. The first thing I would try is use File->File Tools and run Optimize database. If that doesn't help, you can try to Uninstall / Reinstall CB: Use Window Apps to uninstall ComicBase and ComicBase Resources. From CB website, use My Accounts->Registrations then click the green arrow next to your active version of CB to get to the download. After downloading, install it, NOTE: Uninstalling/Reinstalling does NOT affect your Database or the Pictures/Media you have. PS You can check on you C drive in Users\Public\Documents\Human Computing\Flags to ensure you have the country flags.
  5. I have a way that is a little easier (a variation of option 1, copy then paste to spreadsheet). Use File->Collection Statistics Use Show drop-down box to select 'Comic Books' (or whatever type you want the information for) Use Show Breakdown By: drop-down box to select 'Cover Price' Use CTRL+A to select all rows in the display. Use CTRL+C to copy the information. Then Paste into a spreadsheet. After that, you just need to multiply Cover Price by Total Qty and sum this amount to get cover price of your entire collection (with duplicates accounted for).
  6. Not a problem. I find myself 'over-thinking' on some entries, also.
  7. I am not sure how you could print this information out (that does not mean it can't be done, just that I don't know). I don't know what is being using for a comparison to determine what the text color. If it is something that could be worked into a Find (probably an Advanced Find), then you could print what is found.
  8. Not sure if this is what you need or not but... If you use menu item Setup->Preferences and, near the bottom set 'Item Value Change Grid' to something other than None, you can see if a Price changed by the color. For Classic (Hot/Cold), the text of an issue will be Black (no change), Red (changed lower higher), or Blue (changed higher lower). For Financial (Shads of Gain/Loss), the text will be Black (no change) or two different shade, each for little or a lot of change either Higher or Lower.

  10. There is already a Title 'Elf Queen of Shannara, The' If the HC you have is published by Del Rey, just add a new Issue in that existing Title (for the HC). If the HC is by a different Publisher, you can add the Publisher name to the series. i.e. Elf Queen of Shannara, The (other-publiser-name).
  11. If you supply the name, I can try and see what happens on my database.
  12. I will, but in Pete's last post there he had: So, not sure if Transformer is still 'open' for problems.
  13. Here is a strange one. I have run all Rebuild Lists items (except pictures). When I try to do a Regular Find for Storyline 'Kraven’s Last Hunt', it does not appear in the suggestion list nor can it be found. Attached shows the list of suggestion when typing the first part 'Kraven’s'. (I have tried boy a single apostrophe and a single tick with same results) What is even stranger is that 'Kraven’s First Hunt' IS listed (and can be found) but not 'Kraven's Last Hunt'. In the background of the attached is the result of an Advanced Find showing that there are 8 issues with 'Kraven's Last Hunt' Storylines. PS This happened in CB 2022 so it isn't just a CB 2023 issue.
  14. The answer is a definite no. In 'Tarzan of the Apes (Edgar Rice Burroughs’…)' : #1 are reprints of issues from 'Tarzan (Gold Key)'. #1/HC are reprints of strips that were previously only available on the Edgar Rice Burroughs website (like 'Tarzan: The New Adventures (Edgar Rice Burroughs’…)' 1/HC. The difference is that Tarzan: The New Adventures (Edgar Rice Burroughs’…) reprints are new stories that were created while 1/HC reprints strips are based on the original books. The indicia title in the book is 'Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan of the Apes'.
  15. Not sure if this is your problem or not but when you use the View drop down box, Items to Show, what do you have a check mark next to? All Items, Owned Items, or Owned Items + Regular Issues? (see attached). It should be All Items (or possibly Owned Items + Regular Issues) to be able to see issues you do not own.
  16. Mark, that is what he did and it worked. But he is saying that when he shuts down the program and restarts it , the Find is 'focused' back on Death and not Title.
  17. It couldn't hurt to run File->File Tools and Optimize Database. Not sure it will help but it can't hurt.
  18. Not the way it is supposed to work. Probably have to contact support about this.
  19. One more thing. If you are downloading the Quick Start file, you will want to go into Setup->Preferences and check the box next to Automatically download larger pictures when viewing items. If you are doing the full size covers, you don't need to check this box.
  20. One thing to check is right-click on the large cover image in the top left corner and select 'Show Picture File'. This will take you to the folder containing the covers for that title. What is in there? Just the one cover or all of them? Also, did you install the pictures? They are in a separate download from the program. (or are on the install disks but you have to install them separate from the program). To download, go to your My Account on ComicBase website, Registrations and click the green arrow next to your current subscription. On the next page, you will have an option to install the Quick Start version (thumbnails initially but will download show larger cover if you select it). Or click the Other radio button to get to all the Picture Disk files (you will need to download all of them). Then, in CB, File->Install Pictures and Movies to install them.
  21. Try this. Click on the Find drop-down box next to the data entry box. If Series Name or Barcode does not have a check mark next to it, select it. If it does have a check mark, select something else, then click on the Find drop-down box again, and select Series Name or Barcode. (Some time CB thinks it is a different selection. NOTE: To replicate your results (Daredevil takes you to Spider-Girl Presents the Buzz and Dark Devil' and Actio is not found), I had to select Death.
  22. 23. Both my database and Atomic Avenue (AA) have 'Savage Avengers (2nd Series)' #4 and 5 along with 'A.X.E.: Judgment Day' (if that is the title you are referring to as I can't find a 'A.X.E. Judgement Days') #3, 4, and 5 (along with several variants). Have you run the most recent update?
  24. Unfortunately, it is not that straight forward. As an example, Company A publishes a Title with Printings 1 through 5. Then the company is bought/merged with another company, and the publisher of the book changes BUT the next book a 6th printing. If you split it into two titles, the second would 'start' with 6th Printing. However, if after the merger, the next book IS a 1st printing, then, yes, I would make two titles.
  25. I have found this to be a pretty good site for books: https://isfdb.org/cgi-bin/index.cgi I also do some searches on Amazon and Ebay to see If I can see any inside information. PS Very good series, by the way. I would have got to it eventually but i have several hundred books to get through (and I started a Z and am working backwards to A as I rearrange my bookshelves...
