For the second one, Batman: The Killing Joke (Titan), is a novel. (you can use the Look Inside feature at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GGL3FSF/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1. As for The Essential Conan, I had considered the near identical name with Essential Conan (and I double checked that it is just Essential Conan in the indicia). I decided against adding Publisher to the Title because it was a different name, it is in a different section (Books vs. Comics), and the covers for both are available. This should remove any confusion. At least that was my thought process. However, If the editors at HC want to add the Publisher to the name, I would have no problem with that (it was a 60/40 choice on my part).

I am not positive but I think Sidekick is what auto generates the report and saves it to the cloud (if you set the options for this).

Currently, there doesn't seem to be any way to create a Book Issue with just the number 1 (nothing else) despite the update adding 1 and 1-2 to The History of Grendel: Devil in Reflection in Books. If you edit one of these issues and try to save it, 'something' will be added as you have to choose a Binding Type and there isn't a 'none' selection.

One thing you can try, is to go to the CB website and change your password. It might 'refresh' or clear some cache. Not sure if this is the same but when the recent Mobile app came out, I could not log in with my correct Userid/Password (similar to you). Changing the password seemed to clear 'something' up as I could then log in to the mobile app.

Using Amazon's 'look inside' feature, Monsters is definitely a Comic Book. As for the Title, I believe it should just be "Monsters" as it is listed on a Title page.

The movies are short videos on an issue (created a long time ago). You view them the same way as a digital comic. Go to the Title/issue and click on the 'play' button (second column from the left in the Grid). Alternately, you can just go to the Media folder (in the same folder as the Pictures folder) and play them from there, outside of CB.

If you are using CB 2017, it would use CBA as the file extension. When CB was rewritten to CB 2020, the file extension was changed to CBDB. If you are using CB 2020 or later, if you try to open an older CBA file, it will read it (it won't change it) and create a new CBDB file.

I will only mention that some Item #'s can't have a Cover Date added as only a Year is available. This shouldn't affect Street Date, however.

There used to be a program someone (Adam Sternberg, I believe) that would find holes in series. I am not sure where it disappeared to when we went to the new forums. It should still work on the new database. If he still has the program, he could post it to this forum under Downloads/ComicBase Tools and Add-Ons. 1) Is there a way to identify, in search terms, titles that have issues? Yes. If you just want only the Title names: Find, Title Field select Title, use Greater Than and type a single space in the search box. Make sure the List Only Titles In Stock check box is checked. If you want Titles and Item #'s (issues) do the same steps as above but use the Item Field for Title. 2) Is it possible to Mark the Titles or set a Title Custom Check on Titles after I do a search for owned issues? I don't believe there is any way to change Title information (Marked or Custom Fields) all at once. Needs to be done individually. 3) Is there a way to search for the first owned issue of each title? The last owned issue of each title? No. 4) Is there a way to search for the first (smallest) regular issue # of each title? the last (largest) regular issue # of each title? No. For #3 & #4, you can try Advanced Find but the 'stream-lined' version of query in CB doesn't really allow this to be done (would need a Max and Min function with a Group By which is impossible in the CB design). The Advanced Find is a Item Field only search (with a little bit of finessing, I can get some Title Fields in the Where but I've had 30 years of Database experience that lets me deconstruct the query but it isn't easy.) For #4, you get into problems trying to define 'Regular' Issue. This could be Issue 1 or Issue 1/A (or 1/HC, Bk 1, etc.) Just an FYI, if you don't know, but the Item # is a composite of Type, Number, Variation, and Printing. So, instead of doing a Find on Item #, you could do a Find on just the Number part of it. But, you will get multiple items # returned if you have 1, 1/A, HC/1 and Bk 1. Also, you would have to 'hard-code' the 1 in the Where to get the minimum Item (you would miss any with 0 as an Item #). There would be no real way to hard-code the largest number. Having said all this if you want to export the data and put it in a real database, you could do #3 & #4 with a little work.

Try Menu item File Tools->Rebuild LIsts and do at least Series Information. It won't hurt (but take a little longer) to do List of Owned Series, and Item Information. You could also do List of Contributors, storylines and notes.

Issue information is easy: Title, Item #, Cover Date, Quantity, and Price. Title information is not easy or not possible: (not easy) Publisher, Date for Series, (not possible) genre (more accurated called Tag as not all Tags are genre). Collection Report (Basic) has Title, Publisher, Date of Series, Item #, Quantity, and Price. Missing Genre/Tag. Item Checklists has Title, Publisher, Date of Series), Item #, and Quantity. Missing Price (it has Cost and NM Value), and Genre/Tag. Price List (Basic/Detailed) has Title, Publisher, Date of Series), Item #, Quantity, and Price. Missing Genre/Tag. The 'not possible' item is Genre/Tag. There is currently nothing in CB that will display it in a report or even to do a Find on it (Note: You CAN do a find for a particular Genre/Tag by clicking on it but there is no way for use to use it in a Find.) With existing reports, Collection Report (Basic) or Price List (Basic or Detailed) will get all the information (and more) EXCEPT for Genre/Tag. Since you mentioned Excel, You can get exactly what you want, except for Genre/Tag, with a combination of Export (for the Issue information. For the Title information, you would need to do a Find where Publisher is > ' ' (that is a Space). This will return a Find result of all the Publisher, Title, Date of Series. Once you have this, you can Select All (CTRL+A), copy the columns, then paste it into Excel. After importing the Issue export info into Excel, you should be able to tie the two together by Title name (a little work and it's been a while since I have done this so I am not sure of the steps). This will get you exactly what you want EXCEPT for Genre/Tag. Currently, there is no way to get to that information. PS if you know databases, you can import both the Issue export info and the Title info into tables and then a simple Join on Title name will tie everything together.

I am not sure I understand the question/problem. I see you have a Custom Text field (1 of 4 available (Note, you can change the name to something more representative, if you like)). Some Issues have 'Guide' in it. Some are empty. Are you saying the empty ones used to have information in them but now they don't?

F# is not designed to Jump to a UPC code. It is specifically designed to Jump to Item # (issue number) as stated by the text 'item #' in the box (in the displayed Titled). Lance, it is both Magazines and Books. I have found several Titles that I know are books listed under the wrong Publisher.
