Bryan S. Carter Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 I am getting the following error when trying to update titles: Index was outside the bound of the array when reading comics at issue Beano, The 3693 I have tried the following to get it to work but to no avail: 1) Manually updated from 24.0.0.7XXto 24.0.0.886 2) Turned off anti-virus software 3) Deleted The Beano title and all comics since I have none of those Please help with any suggestions.
Peter R. Bickford Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 Restart, then hold down shift while choosing Internet > Check for updates in ComicBase. Click Yes when asked whether you want to download it again. (Guessing you had some sort of problem with the download--it seems to work fine here). Let us know if you're stuck. -Pete
Bryan S. Carter Posted October 19, 2023 Author Posted October 19, 2023 I tried that and same results. I've attached a screenshot of the error.
Mark J. Castaneda Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 you may have database corruption going on. Try this: File Menu>File Tools -Optimize your Database -Next, Rebuild Lists (choose every option except the "Pictures files list") - this particular process will take some time to complete(at least 30 min). -Re-try to update afterwards If you still get the problem, email our support team at support@comicbase.com
Bryan S. Carter Posted October 21, 2023 Author Posted October 21, 2023 I believe the rebuild list option fixed it. When the next update comes out I will verify. I did unselect update comic books and only updated books, magazines and newspapers. now it says the update is current but not sure of the comic books updated or not and I don't get the selection screen anymore to reselect comic books.

This should bring up the Update Options window where you can select types to update.
