What Edition and version of CB do you have. The latest build is b2003. You should have 3 options regarding Want lists (see attached). I only see 1 in your display.

The problem is if you are going by 'comic book size means comics' just about every book (Absolute, Omnibus, just to mention a few) would be in Books since they are not comic-size. And items like Savage Sword of Conan (the b&w version) would need to be in Magazines since it is magazine size. Going on size just wouldn't work very well. Which leaves content.

I am not so sure that is how Item Title is meant to be used. I think it is mainly for individual issues who's Title name on the cover doesn't match what the CB Title is. Usually in an Anthology type series. See 'Four Color Comics' (1st and 2nd series), maybe Classics Illustrated, Eclipse Graphic Album Series, etc. I don't think its intent for when Titles changes name. But, I could be wrong. I am sure the editors will respond with guidance.

The suggestion limited in the number of suggestions. It puts the most likely matches first (note they all begin with 'Spider-Man'). Another way you can to this to get a complete list is to do a Find (click the little magnifying glass to right of the box). Then use either the Item Fields or Series Field and select Title (Item Field will return all issues in the Titles it finds with Series Field will return just the Title names). How you search is up to you, but if you are not sure of a name, I would suggest 'Contains' the type in what you are looking for. In your example, that would be 'Spider-Man'. Or you can try 'Parker' or 'Peter Parker'.

Short answer is no. There are no 'Last User Date' type fields (that I know of). The closest I can find is DateModified. There are also LastQtyChangeDate and LastValueChangeDate but I am not sure how useful those two are. At the Title level there are ComicTitles.TitleCreatedDate and ComicTitles.TitleModifiedDate. (ComicTitles would change to BookTitles if you are looking at Books) A couple of points. For comparisons, use date format of YYYY-MM-DD. ex. I.DateModified >= '2022-10-01' Some of these fields may have 'date-time' values (something llike yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss). However SQLite does not have a true Date-Time data type. If they are date-time, using the DATE function on the field to extract the Date part of the data. ex. DATE(I.DateModified) >= '2022-10-01' I am not sure which fields contain Date or Date-Time data. You may have to experiment to find what returns consistent results. PS DateModifed is are any changes. I would not recommending using on the day you ran the Update as it will modify a lot of rows.

I believe that feature was removed to fix other problems with CB 2023 development. What you can do is select the cell with the Title name. Use CTRL+C to copy, then, in the Find Box (top center of wiindow), use CTRL+V to paste the Title name. Not as easy as double-clicking but it does work.

Well, that wasn't quite as hard as I thought. Try this (if you need to only look for 'For Sale' and/or 'Marked' those can be added. By the way, if you want to do a little work, and you want to be really safe, you could have 2 databases. You personal (not for sale) database and your For Sale Database.

I will save you some time. There is not way (or at least not easy and even then probably not) to find multiple 'duplicate issues) that are enter entered as separate issues. The cut down version of the SQL that is the advanced find isn't really able to do that. I will give it some thought and see if I can figure out a way. PS The main reason is you would need to 'Group By' go consolidate those issues into one unique item. Advanced Find does not have a Group By.

By the way, Reserve Qty is in the drop-down fields list.

Not sure I got the exact reason. My guess is that using generic Variations A-Z and Vxx is the direction they want to go. The other way of coming up with 'named' variants (which have to be relatively short wasn't working very well over time. There could be other reasons.

Not sure if this will help (but it can't hurt). Try running File->File Tools, Optimize Database. Not sure what version you are on. The most current is v23.0.0.1876. If yours is not there, I would try updating. If you have 'Check for interim updates' checked in Setup->Preferences, just use Internet->Check for Updates to install. If not, go to the ComicBase website, and under My Account->Registrations, click on the green arrow next to your most current registered product, then download/install. (for the download/option, you could uninstall CB and CB Resources before the Install. NOTE: this will NOT affect you database or picture/media files.)

No. Mass Change doesn't have any filtering capability. But you can do this with Regular or Advanced Find. Advanced Find: I.[QtyInStock] >= 1 AND Price >= 5.00 Regular Find: Start a Find. In the Find drop-down box, select Item Fields->Price Change the drop down box to Is Greater Than or Equal To. In the input box, type 5.00 Make sure the List Only Items IN Stock is checked. For both: When you have the results, select all the rows (CTRL+A). Right-Click and select Quick Change from the pop-up menu. Change: For Sale To IS Checked.

Here is one way: Use Find (regular or Advanced) and use 'For Sale' IS Checked. Once you have the results, use CTRL+A to select all. The Right-click and select Quick Report from the pop-up menu (or use F7). Notes: 1) If you want a different report, from the pop-up menu, select Report Selected Titles As, then the report you want to use. 2) If you have different Types (Books, Comic Books, Magazines, and/or Newspapers) for sale, you will need to do a Find for each Type separately.

The first thing I would try is use File->File Tools and run Optimize database. If that doesn't help, you can try to Uninstall / Reinstall CB: Use Window Apps to uninstall ComicBase and ComicBase Resources. From CB website, use My Accounts->Registrations then click the green arrow next to your active version of CB to get to the download. After downloading, install it, NOTE: Uninstalling/Reinstalling does NOT affect your Database or the Pictures/Media you have. PS You can check on you C drive in Users\Public\Documents\Human Computing\Flags to ensure you have the country flags.

I have a way that is a little easier (a variation of option 1, copy then paste to spreadsheet). Use File->Collection Statistics Use Show drop-down box to select 'Comic Books' (or whatever type you want the information for) Use Show Breakdown By: drop-down box to select 'Cover Price' Use CTRL+A to select all rows in the display. Use CTRL+C to copy the information. Then Paste into a spreadsheet. After that, you just need to multiply Cover Price by Total Qty and sum this amount to get cover price of your entire collection (with duplicates accounted for).
