Try just double-clicking on your database file (typically, found in My Documents\Human Computing\ComicBase Databases. Also, be sure you're running 21.0.0.1150 -- if you happened to snag an earlier build while we were still in the middle of posting, it might be worth re-downloading.

Please write support@comicbase.com directly if you're still having trouble.

Please follow up with support@comicbase.com with your user IDs--This isn't something we've seen before, or that came up during beta, but wondering if the issue might somehow be account-related. Gonna be doing Thanksgiving myself in a moment, but will check in later.

I just got off the phone with Pete and it looks like the culprit is the Regional Format Setting. Mine was set to English (Canada). As soon as we set it to English (United States) it worked.

Pete said he'll work on the fix after he's done with Thanksgiving, but in the meantime switching to English (United States) under Regional Format should get things working.

It looks like the problem was related to currency settings -- there's a new build out now (1165) which should fix this for you. If you go to My Account > Registrations and download the software again, it should take care of it. Please let me know if it solves the issue for you.

As a temporary work-around you can manually create the folders.

C:\Users\<your-logon-id>\Documents\Human Computing\ComicBase 2021 Archive Edition\Log Files

Not sure why this folder path wasn't create in the install as it appeared to work in beta.

I think there is an issue with viewing media - i.e. I can't see mine and I have the correct file path.

When I add new media it goes into the correct folder and the media icon does appear next to the picture icon but the media doesn't open by clicking the media icon, and the show media in file explorer option remains greyed out.

Also, the 'play button' icon doesn't show up next to the Item #.

I had the same problem as Robert. I reset the Pictures and Media folders to the default then changed them to my location.

At that point, even though the 'play button' doesn't appear, clicking on the box, executed the play option.

Think I've got the underlying issue fixed in build 1174, out now.

(Please check--and this is also a great time to advertise a little-known feature of the new version: under Setup > Preferences, "Check for Interim Updates"  to see every little update we do, instead of just the big roll-up updates.
