Can you attach a cover scan (or a link to the cover)? I 'think' it might be in 'Tick 2017, The) as #0 (or 0/A). This looks like a mis-used title. #0 has a cover date of 2018, #1 2017 (and a B variant with 2018), #2 2017, #3 and #4 2018. Based on the progression, I would l think #0 should be 2016 but with this Title I can't be sure.

This is a complicated one and will probably need HC input. Using the GCD (Grand Comic Database) as a guide: 'Black Fury' had a title from 1955 - 1966 (issues #1 - 57) with Charlton as Publisher. 'Black Fury' had a second title from 1959 - 1962 (issues #1 -15) which reprints some of the first series (mixing covers and contents). It has Charlton in a truncated version of an indcia (could be due to the reprint) but has 'Blue Bird Comics' on the cover. Each of the 15 issues was for a various shoe stores (Schiff's Shoes, R & S Shoe Store, Big Shoe Store, and Gallenkamp's). At a guess, I think this would justify a separate Title. I would have just one Title with variations for each number as needed for the various Shoe store stamps. I am basing this on the mix of covers and contents. The one you included as an attachment is the Cover from #4 but contains reprint stories form #21 of the original 'Black Fury' title. This would not work well trying to make a 4/A variation (with mismatching content) or a 21/A variation (with a mismatched cover).

My guess is you want title 'Thor'. It has issues #443 - 455. All of them have a 1992 date.

Can you be more specific which issue you are referring to? That way I can try to find it in the database (if it exists) and help with instructions.

As far as I know, there should be no reason not to run on both.

For technical reasons, that no longer works. One thing you can do to simulate this is, when your list is displayed, click on the cell with the Title name, use CTRL + C to copy the name, then click on the Find box at the top and use CTRL + V to paste the Title there bring it up.

When entering a Title and having a problem like your, the solution is to type a 'space' after the name, then backspace to delete the space. this will remove the highlight of the suggestion and allow the new name. In your example type 'Here ' then backspace to 'Here' (note the tick marks are just to show the space and are not typed).

No. You would have a MMPB 1 entry with 6/1/1971 for the 1st Printing and another MMPB 1-7 for the 7th printing with 3/1/1974. If you only wanted to enter the one that you have then it would still be MMPB 1-7. Does this make sense?

I don't mind the multi-Publisher but I would just name it 'Destroyer, The (Pinnacle/Signet/Gold Eagle)' (leaving off Novels) since that is what I would call the Series (like Tarzan (Ballantine) isn't Tarzan Novels (Ballantine) ). Then on the particular Issue where the Publishing changed, I would add a note of 'Publisher changed to Signet' so you can tell when it changed.

Overall Title Name isn't really designed for that. It is to tie multiple titles of a non-numbered series together. Like the Jack Reacher books. They are not numbered so they can't go in to a series (without making up numbers) but they should be read in order as they could later books could reference earlier books and spoiler plots. (In that case, by definition, it should never be used on a single title.)

To answer you question, Yes, you can have a Title where there are 2 (or more) publishers in the single title. Having said that... It looks like it changes publisher twice Pinnacle 1 - 58 Signet 59 - 94 Gold Eagle 95-145 You could put them all in one Title with a comment on the changing publishers (for example: Signet started Publishing with #59. Gold Eagle started Publishing with #95. (your wording could be different: 'Publisher changed to Signet with #59 is another way)). OR You could put them in 3 different Titles (one for each publisher) with 'Continued In...' and 'Continued From...' in the Comments. What I would ask myself is: If someone had book #139 with only Gold Eagle as publisher, would they find it in CB if there is only one Title with Publisher Pinnacle? (they typed Destroyer in the Find box and only see the Publisher there and don't see the comments, for example) Or Would it be easier to find it with 3 Titles each with the different publishers? (There is not necessarily a wrong answer either way).

The main problem is if they have the same Title AND the same Publisher. Then they would share the same Picture folder. The ensure this doesn't happen, I have been adding the publisher to the Title for Book Types. (i.e 'Eye of the World (Tor)'.

I am not sure of the exact mechanics but I think a step was missed. My guess is there was a change made but this didn't make it to the download file. The Build number probably got updated (making CB think there is a new update) but the new program didn't make it to the spot where it is downloaded from. So, CB thinks there is a new Update but when it tries to install it, it is the same as what you currently have. This will probably be fixed (eventually) but until then, can't get to the Content update until you get past this mixed up program update.

When you get that message (about wanting to Modify, Repair, Remove), that means the update it is trying to download and install is the same as the one you already have. PS it is possible the change made just hasn't propagated everywhere and trying again later may work.

As a work-around until this is fixed, you can try using menu item Setup->Preferences, and near, the top, Unchecking 'Check for interim updates'. This should stop it from looking for a program update and go to the content update.

Since it is reprinting Avengers (8th Series) #31-38, it would go in that series as Bk 7.

Flash, The: The Fastest Man Alive (2nd Series) is the correct title (only one on Atomic Avenue). If you move you inventory (Qty) over to that series, the incorrect Flash: The Fastest Man Alive (2nd Series) should be deleted with the Update. PS The same thing for the Bone Orchard title. Move inventory to the correct one and the incorrect one should be deleted.
