Comicbase has the largest database but no cover scan option in the mobile app. Other competitors are getting it or a beta version or have it. I would think a cover scan option in the mobile app would be incredible with Comicbase's superior database. Thoughts?

Hi, Not sure if this was asked, but can the mobile app access be updated to include Express Plus? I just purchased that version and was excited to see there was an app for mobile devices but not for the Express Plus version. Thank You, Kevin

When I'm out somewhere and thinking about buying a comic, I often use the app to check on whether I already have it and, if so, in what condition. If I don't have it, I like to check what the guide says the value is, and additionally, if copies are for sale on Atomic Avenue, I like to click through and see what's being offered. It seems that, with the latest update, I am unable to take that last step. When I use the app to look up a title and then click on an issue to see details about that particular issue, there is a link that might say "2 copies on Atomic Avenue." How hard would it be to make Books and Magazines searchable in the app? Would it be possible to add something in the app which allows you to select which media type you want to search? Right now the only method I can think of to make this work would be to create a different database for each media type and then switch to the relevant database before searching. Thanks!

My reports used to be available in the mobile app. Now it says to Save to Web or use Sidekick to automatically create reports when you Save to Cloud. I did create several reports, clicked Save to Web, but they still aren't in the Mobile app. I have to open a browser, login, go to the Comics tab, then run the report there. The reason I want the reports in the Mobile App is that is what I have open when I am at a store or convention and sometimes it is easier to use a pre-done report rather then the Find Item option. For example I have a report of the Four Colors I have, which is easier to go through then scrolling for 50 issues, then wait for the loading screen for th…

I have followed all the documentation on how to update the cloud so my app reflects my current inventory, but the Item Checklist section doesn't seem to want to update. I check this by looking at a specific comic I have listed in the program as graded, but it is not reflected as such in the app. FYI - it has been graded for about 2 years. Is there some method I am missing to make this happen? I just bought a graded comic I thoght I needed only to come home and find out I already had it.

The app is great for checking to see what I have and don't have, BUT when it comes to older issues, it's just as important to know the condition of the ones I DO have, in case I come across one in better condition. Up to now I've thought that that info was not available on the app. I just noticed (yeah, took me awhile) that the condition, as well as the number owned, IS detailed on the list screen, but is BARELY visible (see screen shots below). I've looked through my phone but cannot find a setting that makes this info more visible. I'm using an iPhone 13, running the most recent iOS. Anyone else run into this or know what I need to tweak?

Hi, I don't know if you prefer feature suggestions for the mobile app to go here or in the main feature suggestions forum, but I'm glad to move this posting if desired. I use the mobile app a lot and have several suggestions. 1. Add the ability to jump to a particular issue number when viewing a series. Scrolling down to the current issues of Action Comics, or to, for example, Issue 1200 of Four Color Comics is really annoying, especially as only 50 entries at a time are loaded. I've tried entering the issue number in the search field, but that has several problems. First, you have to type the full name of the series exactly as it appears (e.g. "Amazing Spider-M…

Recently installed Comicbase on a new PC and the system is not discovering any items scanned with the mobile app. I've reinstalled the app and confirmed my login. Sidekick seemed to recognize 36 new items, but when I launched Comicbase and scanned for new purchases they weren't there, and they hadn't been imported. I still have Comicbase installed on the old PC as well and it's not recognizing any new purchases either. Any thoughts?

Hello, I recently added (at least) 5 issues of G.I. Combat into my database (always from a computer; I don't add items from/in the app - just reference use), and not any of the 5 are showing as part of my collection in the app. - I'm not sure if there's other items in my collection that aren't showing... But guessing that's a possibility. So, I just now opened Sidekick, and did the "Optimize" and save to the Cloud functions... I was scanning some comics with the mobile app, and when I entered the Cost (in this case, $2.09) it would not accept the "0" digit. When I entered "2.0", the app does not register the "0", backspaces and deletes the "." The entry that should be 2.09 becomes 29.

Seeing entries in the mobile app for databases you no longer use? You can remove these by going over to your Profiles page at www.comicbase.com, scrolling down to the bottom of the page, and removing the unwanted entries from the "Known Databases" list: -Pete

I was dollar bin diving today and tried to use the search function on the iOS app, and while I could easily find the title I was looking for, as soon as I clicked on the title the app hung. I tried a few times and it happened every time. Any idea what might be behind this?

When I go to the mobile app it always is starting with ComicBase Database selected. If I click on that my database that I actually use is available. I select that and hit done. Then if I go to Find Item it goes back to the ComicBase Database, not the one I selected. Is there anyway to setup my personal database as the default? Or to remove the options to select databases I don't use? Or get it so when I go to Find Item it remembers the database i actually selected. Thanks.

I downloaded the new version of the mobile app v2.0.4. When I go Find Item and start typing in a title (e.g., Dark Horse Presents) I get a list of titles that show up that contain that search string. When I tap on one of them, the box for that title is highlighted but then the app freezes. I am not able to get to the screen with the scroll list of existing issues, nor am I able to go back and edit what I put into the text input box. I am on an iPhone XS Max running iOS 14.4.2

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, since I am really jazzed about the new search capabilities, but the mobile app has been crashing on me pretty consistently this morning. It seems to work fine when I browse a title with a small print run, but if I pull up a title with a large number of issues it crashes before I can scroll past the first 100 issues or so.

I have recently started to encounter a problem where my ComicBase Mobile app will not open properly. I get the opening load screen and that hangs there for a time, and then crashes. I tried rebooting the phone as well as deleting and then re-downloading the app. I am running iOS 13.5.1 on an iPhone XS Max.

I have been having a problem with ComicBase Mobile when I want to look at my Title Report. After selecting the report, I click on 'view report' then click on the letter where the specific comic(s) are located. CB Mobile will either freeze when the title report comes up or it will get as far as the letter section then freeze. Android will give a pop-up asking whether I want to quit the app or continue to wait. I've clicked 'wait' 3 times before quitting the app. At first, I thought maybe my phone (Samsung S7) didn't have the resources, but my tablet (Samsung Tab S5e) had the same problem & it is fairly new. I love being able to check my collection on the go using the app, but I have a pretty long wish list and a ton of titles in my collection so sometimes I really need to scroll a lot to get to the title I am interested in. A drop-down list allowing you to jump directly to a title or being able to search would make the reports much easier to use. Is this doable?
