  1. Wondering if the problem is database specific...if you create a new database under the file menu, play around with it, do you get the same kind of sluggishness?
  2. -you'll need to convert your info into a tab separated txt file. Needed info to pull of a minimal import (title name, issue number, qty in stock, condition). Feel free to email our support team directly if you have further questions. -you can create a new database under the file menu if you need to catalog a different collection.
  3. message our team at support@comicbase.com. attach the covers you're trying to drop in and they'll see if they are named properly.
  4. a suggestion i'll pass up to the programming team. For now, doing through Sidekick is the way to do it.
  5. some folks were issued the wrong Archive edition installer under their accounts. That has been fixed, just redownload the software installer setup file from your online account; it should be for the Professional edition 2020: https://www.comicbase.com/mycb/Registrations.aspx
  6. Do you know your system specs (Windows OS Version, RAM, Processor Speed, etc.)? Wonder if you're running on a computer that doesn't meet our min system requirements.
  7. Our report uploader ran into technical difficulties over the Holiday break. It’s been rebooted and now is processing through a large list of reports from our users. We apologize for the inconvenience, it may take several hours for it to catch up and post all those reports.
  8. Go the Setup Menu>Columns to View - you may have to check what columns you wish to have viewed/arranged on the main screen grid like custom fields.
  9. Our report uploader ran into technical difficulties over the Holiday break. It’s been rebooted and now is processing through a large list of reports from our users. We apologize for the inconvenience, it may take several hours for it to catch up and post all those reports.

  11. Hey Mark, the majority of the links/tips under our Support menu at comicbase.com will work in the new CB2020 version. Our new user guide for CB2020 will be updated in the weeks to come.
  12. any dbs listed under your Profile can be reposted from the software again by just uploading a fresh report.
  13. Hi all, Our office will be shutdown for the rest of 2019 as the staff will enjoy a nice holiday break. Normal business hours will resume on 1/2/2020. 14. The content update for the week of 12/18/2019 will also include releases for the 12/25/2019. So no new content update for the rest of 2019.
  15. might be best to view your report list under your CB online account and 'remove' what reports you got currently then send up a fresh report afterwards from the software. Here's a direct link to your online reports: Here';s ahttps://www.comicbase.com/mycb/MyComics.aspx
  16. few things to try: File Menu>File Tools>Optimize database File Tools>Rebuild Lists>do both 'Series Information' & 'Item Information' options Afterwards, try to process the latest content update again and see if you get through it okay. Contact us directly by email at support@comicbase.com OR by phone 408-266-6883 if the trouble still occurs.
  17. the 'Save to Cloud' option is featured only in Sidekick mainly because the db file has to be closed; the file needs to be compressed then uploaded to our server without any interruption from user interaction (that could possibly happen in the main CB software). The process can take some time depending on the user's internet upload speed which can vary.
  18. I've seen this behavior with other programs/websites if the user shrinks the interface down small enough where certain options suddenly don't appear. I'll let Pete know what you discovered. We appreciate the tinkering you did to figure it out.
  19. Odd... not getting the trouble you're running into with the latest build. Anyone else experiencing what Geoffrey is running into? *Might be best to give our lead programmer Pete a call at 408-266-6883 ext 403.
  20. head over to www.comicbase.com and redownload the CB2020 program installer (My Account Menu>Registrations)... it'll be the new version 20.0.1.2760. See if you still get the trouble afterwards. Contact our support team at support@comicbase.com if the trouble happens.
  21. redownload the CB2020 program installer now... it'll be the new version 20.0.1.2760
  22. Hey Kenneth, we posted a revised program installer last night (now version 20.0.1.2764). Just re-download the installer from your online account here to get it: https://www.comicbase.com/mycb/Registrations.aspx if the trouble still occurs, may be best to give our support team a direct call at 408-266-6883 to get you through the trouble. They can setup a remote help session if needed to see how the software is running on your computer.
  23. no...we don't want to back track for a prelim cover if it becomes available later on. We'd rather have the real cover when it becomes available.
  24. if no preliminary cover is available at the time we input a future release info into the Master Database, we just wait for the actual cover to get in our hands and roll it into the next available content update. Hope that makes sense.
