    I am using 4 custom fields, custom field 1 is Box#, custom field boxes 2-4 are labeled 9.4, 9.6 and 9.8 and filled with the CGC FMV for each book listed. Many different titles are in my "CGC" box. So I'm just trying to print out a report with the following: Title, Item #, Qty, Cover, Cost, and my custom fields, Box#, 9.4, 9.6 and 9.8. I select find, item field, Box, and box is CGC, select find and up comes my CGC box. I highlight everything and select quick report, but only Title, #, Cd, Qty, Price and Notes show up in the quick report. I'm not sure how to proceed. Windows 10 Pro using ComicBase 2022 Archive Edition, v22.0.1.1613 Thanks for any help.

    Over the last few updates (4 or 5?) I've been having the same error occur. CB confirms that a new update is available and I begin the download process. The new pane opens and the status bar appears and it reads "initializing." That is all that is does, no progress, nothing at all. I cancel the download and receive a message to the effect of "there was a problem with the update, it may not be fully uploaded" or something similar. I clear the error message, immediately check for updates again, initiate the process and it works like a charm. I'm using v22.0.1.1601.

  3. I'm trying to generate a report sorted by the date the item was added to my database. My comic shop switched to a software that does not detail which comics from my pull-list are on a receipt. I'm trying to find a way to know which comics were received on that invoice. Old receipt: Comic 1 - 3.99 Comic 2 - 3.99 Comic 3 - 7.99 New receipt: 3.99 Comic x 2 = 7.98 7.99 Comic x 1 = 7.99 Thanks for your help in advance! Pat

  4. The feature „value over time“ in Collection Statistics stopped working last July. Since then only the most recent value is added and is overwritten with the next price update. Until July there was a new dot with each weekly price update. The result as shown today are many dots from last January to July and the next dot is from this February update. Any ideas ?

    I enter new books through the ComicBase Mobile app and temporarily add the current date in the Notes field. After import, I can search for the date to produce a sorted list so I can verify that all the books were added, the quantities are correct, I can add the cover scans with drag-and-drop without mucking about with the directories, and then I can delete the date in the notes field.     I walked away at the point it was 1k into downloading 7k some comic covers. I came back to an error. I don't have the actual initial error message, I didn't write it down. Something about database being locked updating a cover image in the R's. underlying error popup for Microsoft .NET Framework talks about Unhandled exception, Value '5588' is not valid for 'Value'.

    When I am in album view and search for anything other than "title", i get no viewable results. The attached images were searches for the 1st appearance of Dracula and were initiated while viewing the Super Magician title. One search performed while in album view and the other from grid view. Is this issue isolated to me or is it everyone?

    I've redownloaded the software twice and when updating it stops halfway , it keeps telling me unhandled exception has occurred, database disk image is malformed,it also tells me informed to click continue to ignore but all it does is nothing plz help

  11. I installed ComicBase on a new computer on January 4th. I have the 4K Archive license. I used the Quick Start version of the pictures, and everything seemed to work fine. As I was browsing through covers yesterday, I noticed all the covers were on the smallish side, including ones that I knew should be larger. I have a 1600 pixel tall screen, and the cover images filled about 2/3 of the screen height. I went through the picture folders and found cover images that had a 2160 pixel height, but when I navigate to them in ComicBase with the "Automatically download larger pictures when viewing items" option checked, the program would replace them with the smaller 1025 pix…

    When we migrated to 2022 Archive, I noticed this out-of-place teal color along the cell edges. Today, when starting the program, I got a dialog indicating an error in the theme file. I was able to reproduce this by switching to another theme and back to Simplistic. This only appears to happen to me with Simplistic. Apparently I can't change the theme color of Windows until I resolve this activation issue, so maybe that's a contributing factor, but maybe not.

    I pulled the trigger and got the Archive edition and I'm working through how I will be using this. I sell comics at shows and markets from time to time. One of the features I like is the label printing capability. One problem I'm having is if I own 10 copies of the same book and want to label / sell maybe 1 or 2 copies for an upcoming show the system does not give me the option to just print one or two labels. It assumes I want to print 10 labels. Are there plans to add more customization of fields on the label? Maybe allow for 1 or 2 additional data fields that can be custom content.   14. This past year I suddenly found my scanner was no longer reading bar codes at all. Even though I knew there was a switch in Comic Base using CODABAR system to Code 2 of 6, I was having issues, which I thought were the scanner. They were not. The scanner works just fine. It never occuurred to me that ComicBase would wipe out all the original CODABAR codes.So now my 20,000 books all labelled under the old system, need new labels for me to process any sales. While I underdstand the need to use the new bar codes, I an surprised they would not just leave access to the old ones as well, much like the UPC bar codes are there.

  16. My DX Scanner is currently not scanning in the UPC Codes for some reason. I tried older back issues too, that it use to work on as well and nothing...no response. This seems to have had happened after the last one or two latest updates...coincidence? not sure. Do I need to go to the manual and try to reboot it with reprogramming? When I tried recently it did not repsond either. Has it finally worn out?? Appreciate tech support on this issue please...thanks

    Hi... I have been noticing that upon opening ComicBase, I end up missing data like Artist, Writer, Title from my application... all that is left is the issues I bought. I can see the info in an earlier database back-up version, but how do I get this info brought into the current database and moreover prevent this info from being wiped out?

    I've used ComicBase Mobile to add issues to my collection, but ComicBase's "Check for New Sales and Purchases" has been failing for the last 12 hours, despite closing and reopening the program and resetting the PC. Is there an issue at the server end? Had trouble checking for new purchases. Check your internet connectivity and try again in a few minutes. Also be sure that both ComicBase and ComicBase Sidekick are added as allowed programs to any firewall software you're running. v22.0.0.1485

    Selected all issues of a title. Intended to download new covers. Accidentally selected to Send updated data, instead. (Apologies, whoever process these.) Realized instantly what I had done. Saw the dialog with the progress bar had a "Stop" button. Clicked the button. Text changed from "Stop" to "Stopping...". Did not stop. I had pressed it early, probably around 25% done. It nonetheless proceeded to upload all the issues.

    Got a weird one here that no one in the community has posed: the display of the Add by Barcode window comes up fragmented and will not work. I've attached a screenshot to show you what I mean. The scanner works fine -- I can use it to find a book already in the database and it scans the number correctly into Notepad -- but will not scan it into the barcode window in Add by Barcode. I've run the file tools Optimize Database and Reset Preferences, both nada. The window came up correctly when I used it last week and I had just updated the database before trying Add by Barcode, but I don't think a database update would affect a specific window.   21. I tried to run a content update tonight and keep getting "Index was outside the bounds of the array" error. Downloading covers has also not as I was adding new comics with my barcode scanner. I got the following error after I scanned each issue. I was able to eventually download the new covers after I finished but then a few minutes later the errors appeared again.

  22. I am receiving the following messages on a regular basis when clicking on the desktop icon to start CB: 1) Having trouble clearing the list of selected titles. Database is locked. 2) Had trouble clearing issue report selections. Database is locked. In addition, I receive a message on the side that states that Sidekick is locked.   23. Hi, I have Comicbase 2021. I've finally entered my 9K+ books into Comicbase. I'd like to create separate sub-sets of my Comicbase database: e.g. "Books to be slabbed", "Books being slabbed", "Books to Keep", "Books to Sell", etc. What's the best way to do this? I don't want the sub-set lists to change my "big" all-encompassing Comicbase list. I'd like to try to sell some of my collection in full-run sets to other collectors - so I'd like to be able to send them a list of the issues I'm including in the proposed sale. It would be great if I could do this off of Comicbase rather than manually create a spreadsheet book by book. Any advice would be appreciated. Than…

  24. I just got the blu ray disk. comicbase only recognizes the 001 file. It does not recognize the 002-006 files. How do I solve this?

    Any reason why my backup is missing from web? I never get an error when I tell sidekick to upload. ALSO, when I browse a title in the app it is not showing correct inventory even though the opening screen shows correct inventory totals.
